This work is an instructional guide for intermediate to advanced shooters. It addresses fighting with shoulder-fired weapons at ranges 0 through 600 meters. The book assumes the reader has mastered basic remedial techniques and is fully versed in firearm safety. A video preview showing limited examples of exercises found within the book can be found here: http: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfzkOIFL7gM. This book is divided into three basic sections: 1. How to create and execute eleven different drills that sharpen skills necessary to survive violent encounters 2. How to evaluate the results of these exercises 3. How to improve the operator's capabilities Covering topics ranging from sight pictures, on-range and off-range training techniques, and even rifle specific weight training, Shootist is intended for those who want to train at their own pace, using their own facilities. The drills are creative, unique and can be challenging. Detailed instructions are included on how to construct the various training tools and courses. In addition, a bonus section covering nutrition and its impact on shooting skills is included. Written by Mike Adams - The Health Ranger, it addresses the seldom-discussed topic of how physical health can impact fighting skills.
In some ways, post-Collapse life at Pierce Point resembles the every day normalcy that Grant and others still hoped would return. The community is organized and humming along smoothly, the young guys on the Team are partnering off with local "Team Chicks," and Grant's daughter has found a boyfriend. For most, the new reality has been accepted and a calm, self-sustaining groove is setting in. For others, though, life is far from normal. Special Forces Ted returns with an offer that cannot be refused. In the blink of an eye, Grant Matson has another title he can add to father-of-the-year and prepper-in-chief: Lieutenant Grant Matson, Commander of the 17th Irregulars. Grant and the Team are whisked away to Marion Farm, where they will train civilians and be trained to become a special squad in a Special Forces guerrilla group. The slower, simple life at Pierce Point is about to disappear to make way for a community that is well-trained and battle-ready, posed to fight the Loyalist opposition. This cannot happen fast enough, though. Gangs are growing steadily and the government is becoming a bigger threat to freedom and the nation. Violence is turning into an everyday occurrence outside of Pierce Point and it is only a matter of time before the peaceful community will need to protect itself from external dangers. Grant feels the weight on his shoulders as he now needs to protect not just his family, but the entire community, and possibly, all of Washington State.
The Visitors, the fifth book in the 299 Days series, follows Grant Matson, the Team, and other Pierce Point residents as they adjust to a rapidly changing post-Collapse reality. When the Team is summoned to bust a meth lab and protect their neighbors, they find themselves in an intense crime scene that results in the community having to decide innocence, guilt and punishment. Adjusting to this "new normal" is a challenge to Grant and others as they navigate a world where Pop-Tarts cost $45 a box, neighbors die from easily preventable conditions, and what remains of the former U.S. Government is deliberately choosing who they will and will not help. As tensions grow in Pierce Point and the Team begins to face organized opposition, they are presented with an incredible opportunity by the arrival of Special Forces Ted and his game-changing proposal. Grant finds himself at a crossroads as he must decide whether he and the Team will formally join the Patriots and train to become guerilla fighters against the growing forces of the Loyalists or standby and watch events unfold. Grant knows one decision could risk his marriage and family, while another would mean letting others decide their fate.
Picking up where The Preparation ended, the collapse begins to unfold in this second book of the 299 Days series. In The Collapse, the government stops working, guns and ammo are in high demand, and a trip to the gas station has become a mission rather than an errand. Grant and the Team see these warning signs and know it is only the beginning, so they begin taking action to protect themselves and their loved ones. As they prepare to get out of dodge after a deadly incident in Grant's neighborhood, they will soon learn whether the preparations they made in Book One will be enough to survive the breakdown of society, or if they don't stand a chance against greed and violence in the face of a collapse. The resulting chaos and fear that begins to envelop the country will strip all of the characters of what they know to normal, and will require them to question what they will stand for, what they will stand up against, and, most importantly, who they will stand with.
Meet Grant Matson: lawyer, father, suburbanite husband who awakens to the fragility of modern society and embarks on a personal journey that introduces him to a world of self-reliance and liberation. 299 Days: The Preparation, the first book in the 299 Days series, depicts the inner struggles Grant must face as he exists in a social system he recognizes as unsustainable and on the verge of collapse, but one in which he has built his life around. What begins as a return to his roots, self-sufficiency and independence, becomes a full blown move to prepare for what may come. Engaging, insightful and a bit suspenseful, follow Grant's transition from a self-perceived "sheeple" to a full-blown "prepper." Will his fears come true? Is he an extremist? What if nothing happens? What if something does?
This is the 2008 in-depth report to Congress on the threat to the United States from an EMP. They conducted tests on equipment and vehicles and project what would happen if the U.S. was subjected to an EMP. Chapters include Electric Power, Telecommunications, Banking and Finance, Petroleum and Natural Gas, Transportation Infrastructure, Food Infrastructure, Water Infrastructure, Emergency Services, Government and more.
299 Days: The Stronghold, the fourth book in the 299 Days series, Grant Matson begins teaming up with others who will help the community of Pierce Point become a Patriot stronghold, ready to stand against government Loyalists, the Undecideds and the Oblivious. Using the United States Constitution as a guide, they develop a sense of order and begin planning for a future that shows no sign of improving. Outside of Pierce Point, the country continues its downward spiral. The Feds are rationing food and gas and playing favorites while some states are choosing to "opt out" of the Federal Government. Scrappy street gangs have made way for sophisticated white collar gangs who, along with government officials, participate in bartering and bribery of every kind. Vigilantes are loose everywhere, and those working for what is left of the government don't know if they're with the good guys or bad guys. The Pierce Point Patriots prepare to defend their land, their families, and their beliefs, even if that means going up against those in their community who are loyal to the government and all things that lead to the Collapse of America.
299 Days: The Community, the third book in the 299 Days series, reunites Grant Matson with his family after his wife, children, and in-laws accept that the only way to survive the Collapse is to flee the comfort of their suburban lives and join him at his isolated cabin in the woods. With riots becoming more violent, power outages more widespread, and the military crumbling, Grant and others throughout Washington State realize they must organize if they want to endure. From the secure confines of the relocated state capitol building, to a rural self-sustaining farm, to the developing community of Pierce Point, 299 Days: The Community explores the mental, emotional, and physical changes everyone must make to adapt to a collapsed society. The years of preparing and training position Grant to lead Pierce Point as he begins to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics and unpredictable situations to help build a new community that can withstand the threats closing in on them. Will people join forces or stand alone? Can communities successfully organize themselves in times of chaos? Will what is left of government help those who cannot help themselves? And if so, at what cost?

Without Rule of Law is an instruction guide for those who prepare. Written by Joe Nobody, author of the bestselling HOLDING YOUR GROUND series of books, this work addresses four skills that may be necessary to survive if a breakdown of society or government should occur. How to Hide How to Evade How to Infiltrate How to Scavenge This book was written for non-military readers who believe in self-reliance and wish to develop advanced, just-in-case capabilities for themselves and their families. The book includes instruction on planning, operational parameters and general guidance should TEOTWAWKI occur and extreme measures are required to survive.
People are planning for world changing, collapse of society events in droves; from flu pandemics to potential electromagnetic pulses (EMPs). While this is a goal worth pursuing, the odds that any of these events will happen during an individual's lifetime are dramatically low. The last pandemic on the magnitude of the 1918 "Spanish Flu" was ... well, 95 years ago. The closest thing the world has seen to an EMP was the Carrington Event, a solar storm in 1859, 159 years ago. Meanwhile, in the United States alone, a violent crime happens every 1.2 seconds. Violence toward women happens every 7 seconds. Someone has their vehicle stolen every 17 seconds. A mass killing, where four or more people (not including the shooter) are killed, happens about every two weeks. While it is prudent to be prepared for catastrophes that could weaken or destroy a fragile social structure, we should not do so at the expense of guarding ourselves from threats that we are more likely to encounter. Written by a law enforcement veteran who has worked for police agencies across the United States, the U.S. Department of Justice and INTERPOL, Don't Be a Victim, offers common sense strategies to help prevent crime, protect your home, and keep your family safe from criminals. This book will educate you on: - Understanding the minds of criminals, their motivations and patterns of behavior - Preventive measures to thwart off criminals - Recognizing common threats, from at home to abroad - Preventing violent crimes against women, children, and the elderly, including internet crime, physical and sexual abuse and financial exploitation This comprehensive, yet easy-to-read book also provides helpful information on illegal drugs, carjackings, business and corporate security, and modern day fraud and scams. Don't Be a Victim is a must read for anyone seeking protection from the many dangers that threaten us every day.

It is intended as a user friendly reference book enabling the user to quickly find answers to questions concerning the NFA.
Joe Nobody's instructional guide, The TEOTWAWKI Tuxedo, focuses on personal equipment designed for security and defense, a subject that can be daunting to beginning preppers. The book provides no-nonsense guidance on how to dress and equip for a defensive role in a post-collapse society. Covering topics such as load bearing equipment, integrated carry systems, advanced BOB options and more, readers will be prepared to carry defensive gear while also maintaining mobility during a bug out situation. This book will save the reader countless hours of web surfing, equipment exchanges and blisters.
America has suffered two economic blows in less than a decade: the collapse of the dot.com bubble in 2000 and the collapse of the real estate bubble in 2007-2009. These blows have left the U.S. struggling to stay on its feet. Spiraling Downward considers the consequences if a still-weak America took another hit, another stock market crash and credit crunch. Given unaddressed imbalances in the US economy, an economic collapse, is indeed possible. This book charts a path that an economic collapse might take. It starts with the anatomy of a market crash and a credit crunch. It seeks to identify the danger zones from which another crash might arise. It then looks at how a crash might shock an economy already weak into an unarrested downward spiral. Spiraling Downward thus offers a way to think about the unthinkable. At a time when conventional views of recession and recovery prevail, this book asks us to consider a different proposition: maybe this time it's different.
