Empowered Defiance is full of passion and encouragement for everyone. I hope this book will inspire hope and new revelation in times of adversity. As you go through life, you'll see that there is a glass that you look through every day. In each window pane, there is a new experience. With each passing day, you will either learn and grow like a flower or wither like the sands of time. There is beauty beyond the pain, you just have to look at it a different way.My vision while writing this book has changed a lot as I also went through the healing process. My hope is that through reading this book someone will know that they can rise above their situation and become a greater person. "Empowered Defiance" reassures the readers that they are not alone and are important. Everything is not to what it seems but you have to trust the process. You got this!

There may have been times when you have been hurt by not only friends but those that were the closest to you. You may even think back to times when you have given so much of yourself in relationships and friendships only to find that you were being misused or abused. You then think to yourself and wonder how could you let this happen.Sometimes you may have even felt that you are the only one "going through this." Well, my friend, the truth of the matter is that we have all had our share of being broken. We have all been through some dark days, hard times, and lonely moments. We all have had experiences of being hurt, in other words, being broken. If you look hard and be completely honest with yourself, some of us are still experiencing some dark days in the valley.The sad truth is that there is a two-fold experience to being broken that we never really hear or teach about. As humans, we naturally only focus on the one side of being broken-the part that hurts. Whether you are the preacher or teacher, the usher or deacon, choir member or musician, or simply a visitor or member on the pew, you have experienced being broken. There is yet another experience of being broken. I'd like to call it the 'flip side of brokenness'. This book is about going and growing through a 'broken' life. There comes a point in this journey call life, when everything fails. No psychiatrist can help. No self-help books work. No spa can spare relief. It is at this point, that you reach out to God. This book is about reaching out to God, or so you think, only to find that you still are broken and healing did not take place when you expected it. This book will expose some valuable truths about being in the church, saved, and helping others only to find yourself still on a broken pew (maybe a broken pew yourself). This book will also share a few testimonials of the two sides of brokenness. Most importantly, as you embark on this journey of "Broken Pews," may the Spirit of God reign over your life, may he lift the Spirit of heaviness, give you beauty for ashes, and enlarge your territory. Let the healing begin...

If the people of Israel are humbleand about the things they've done wrong, God is totally willing to stopkilling them with disease and famine.

Oscar Whaley "Tracy" is a native of Dayton Ohio, Ordained Minister, a single father, Author of Life Skills for Men "Single Male Parent Perspective" &Teen Pregnancy "Addressing the Counterpart" both unpublished. Discovering the gift of Poetry came when I wrote a poem for the Life Skills program; from there they just began to flow naturally from me. I am thankful for the blessing to have my first book published. I call it a blessing by the way I came to be published. The opportunity to share with a total stranger led to my introduction to Pure Thoughts Publishing.Grateful for the people who were placed in the path of my journey, of which I knew not, yet here was an opportunity to share the gift of poetry which I now share with you. My Journey; Not Knowing God; Was Really There THE WRITING OF THIS BOOK IS A SPIRITUAL FOCUS. I. My JOURNEY; WITHOUT KNOWING GOD; WAS REALLY THERE My journey began in my youth, as early as I can remember with my father and mother and two sisters and four brothers. It continues today, I have taken stock and realize that the Lord Jesus Christ is my presence help. II. I SURRENDER ALL: Things were happening to me and for me. I am trying to take inventory of my life. I knew in my heart that mother was gone to glory and now Dad as well has been called home. Early one Sunday morning the Lord gave me this song, "I SURRENDER ALL,"I realize going forward perhaps I would be going through spiritual cleansing. My writing is of the Lord, must be clear and balanced in my work. III. FOR, I AM DOING A NEW THING: When I read this scripture, Isaiah 43:18-19, the presence of the Holy Spirit was so fulfilling. I was in tears, the Lord was speaking. The System Operator at The Rehabilitation Center gave me that scripture to read. The scripture represent The Lord Exodus out of Egypt was enormous with Moses, the Lord is saying now, that was minor compared to what is coming.

This guide was written to help you move from being an average woman to becoming an extraordinary woman. How many times have you put yourself on the back burner? At some point in time we have all been guilty of that. In reality, you cannot become the best version of you while putting yourself last. Your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health all depend on you prioritizing your life appropriately. Grown women understand what's important and what isn't. As you read this book, you'll come face to face with you. The only thing that is preventing you from becoming an extraordinary woman, is YOU. It's time to evict the afraid little girl inside of you and become the confident extraordinary woman that you're destined to be.
