If there is a theme that runs through my photography, its the idea of space that surrounds us in everyday life from the most unlikely to the most remarkable almost like a spiritual experience, accentuating the simple beauty of objects, transferring mundane scenes into extraordinary moments. This is a journey of mine using photography techniques showcasing perspectives to the viewer of minimal world that surround us, which speaks of their silence that's relatable to few and not familiar to many. I hope my images are visually read to truly appreciate and understand the sublime disparity I have conveyed here of poetic against dark, classic against gothic. I hope you are rewarded in finding answers and realizations to personal experiences through your own interpretations leading into an emotional resonant moment offering clarity and realization rather than to pose ambiguous questions, set on aesthetic pedestals.
"I find that when I am shooting alone I love listening to Music, particularly Tchaikovsky when shooting in busy cities like for instance Düsseldorf, London or Southampton. Listening to music whilst photographing really helps interact with my surroundings in a more artistic way but also helps me set a mood for my photographs."
Pauline Cheyrouze is a professional photographer and entrepreneur. Passionate about her work, she is a very smiling, funny person who listens to others. As a photographer, she is curious and ambitious.
In this book project Solo, Mimo explores the concept of being alone as a creative state of mind. She is haunted by the feeling she gets from seeing a lone person in the middle of an overpopulated planet surrounded by architecture, nature, an empty road, a desert or a piece of art.
The photographic works of Rebeka Legovic are characterised by the choice of extraordinarily and surrealistic views and scenarios, in which the geometry of the urban world assumes a new and altered identity. Despite the need for an initial reassessment, the newly created dimension gives way to a peculiar new reality. The artist's language focuses on merging architecture with the human figure, which are often joint by images of the sky and clouds, creating a specific rhythm between straight lines and sinuous natural streams. It feels as if the photographs captured the inaccessibility of the clouds and the wind, the light and the shadows together with the firmness of the architectural and human forms; the concept of change and its opposite are both enclosed in one shot, in the same frame, in the same idea. She blurs the borders between fashion, architectural and conceptual photography.
"Wolfgang Sohn shows the soul of New York in "NYC Scenes». Without ostentation. Without glamour. Without superlatives. Instead, human and close. Almost intimate. Unposed. The street is its catwalk. The inhabitants his models. And the Yellow Cabs his personal pacemaker". (Thomas Fühser). Sohn is photographer, photo artist, curator and lecturer and also founder and creative director of an international fair for contemporary photography. Also published by snap collective is his photobook "DISTANCE".
