"Who serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard without eating any of its fruit? Who tends a flock without getting some of the milk?" - 1 Cor. 9:7. Paul is talking about our right in ministry, our enjoyment in ministry. Listen, never become so labor conscious or so reward conscious that you miss out on the enjoyment of that inheritance in Christ that is our portion in ministry. I am telling you, a works and reward consciousness can become such a snare, in both life and ministry, and it has for so many. But Paul said in 1 Timothy 6:5-12, that "Drawing contentment from godliness is great gain." He says, "Fight the good fight of faith; lay hold of eternal life, where unto you are called." You see; eternal life is all about enjoying your relationship with God, as Daddy. It is you and your best friend Jesus enjoying life together. Eternal life is enjoying intimate fellowship with God in the Spirit. But now before you get all worried and think that God is calling you into deep poverty and self-sacrifice in your relationship with Him and for the sake of the ministry, He is not; neither God nor Jesus is calling you into poverty. God calls us to take our eyes off of men and to trust Him instead because He is faithful! He has promised to never leave us nor forsake us, and He has promised to take care of us. He is our Daddy who loves us! Are we not of more value, of more worth to Him than all the birds of the air and the flowers of the fields combined!?
God wants us to enjoy abundant life, through grasping the truth of the gospel. He wants us to enjoy living in the spirit-realm; to enjoy living in that realm of intimacy with Him, that realm of the impossible, where the impossible is not only possible, but reality, so that our lives will give testimony to the glory of the God who is love ...to the very glory of a supernatural God, who is our Daddy, the almighty creator of the universe, who upholds all things by His Word, by His gospel, by the power of His love for us ...so that we would not merely need to rely on and lean upon the plausible words of human excellence and human intelligence. Listen, once we truly grasp what the gospel actually says and what it actually implies, we need not lean upon the cleverness of our arguments ever again. We can lean hard upon the One who shows forth His power, upon the One who answers with power, and demonstrates His love in practical ways, the One who confirms His gospel with signs and wonders and miracles, and manifests Himself mightily in us, and through us, in Spirit and power!
Righteousness is the most misunderstood subject in the Bible, and that confusion, because of inaccurate truth and incorrect assumptions and conclusions, is one of the biggest reasons why so many Christians are still in bondage. I grew up, like countless others, associating righteousness with good works, ...but did you know that not one of your good works could ever make you righteous? In John 14-17 Jesus was not talking about mansions in Heaven, but about Righteousness when He said: "I go to prepare a place for you."
True innocence is the only basis for real friendship! This book is a revelation on the quality and depth of friendship, real love, acceptance, and true intimacy we can enjoy in all our relationships, whether it is our relationship with Father God or our relationships with other people, because of what God restored to us all in Jesus Christ.
God knows, what we need in the world today, is a real revival, not just a bunch of hype; a real revival of the truth of God, about Himself and about our true identity as revealed in Jesus Christ; a revival of authentic insight and understanding; a real paradigm shift in the mindsets of people; real change in the heart ...a genuine revival of the faith of God and of the love of God that will bring about a continual world wide revival and reformation; a real revival ...where people genuinely intimately know God, and where sin and self-centeredness keeps loosing ground within our hearts and lives, and therefore also in the world we live in, until the earth is filled with the knowledge of His glory and the glory of the Lord finally cover the earth as the waters cover the sea!
In 1988 I began to see the love God has for me. It blew my mind, impacted my spirit, and overwhelmed my heart, to realize that Almighty God, who needs nothing, has chosen to need me, because He desires me! Did you know that we are the only beings who can fulfill God's love dream? God is in love with you! He desires for you to be His soul mate!
This book is Part 1 of the series: The Gospel In 3-D! Paul says in Romans 1:19 that "Whatever can be known of God is manifest in man."Oh, I know that verse 18 says that, "Through their unrighteousness they have suppressed the truth." But that's not the point of Paul's message! The real question is: How long can you hide something that cannot remain hidden? The very mystery that once was hidden, says Paul in Colossians 1:27, that mystery "which was hidden for ages and generations has now been revealed." And then He tells us what that mystery is. He says, it is Christ... Where?Hiding somewhere in history, or perhaps in outer space somewhere, or somewhere off in the near or distant future; in the sweet by-and-by? No! He says, it is Christ ...in the nations.Christ ...in you, where He has been hiding all along.Listen; Gold does not become gold once it is discovered! No. Gold has been gold all along! But why must it be discovered? So that it can become currency!
So many people think that grace and mercy is basically the same word and can be used interchangeably, but they represent different concepts all together. Mercy flows out of grace and is an aspect of grace, but grace is so much more than mercy. Grace has nothing to do with overlooking and tolerating weakness. Grace has to do with God's total restoration and enablement of us to overcome the fall of Adam and all its consequences. The grace of God represents the complete work of redemption, from the incarnation to the ascension; it is all a powerful display of the grace of God in order to deliver us and break us out of bondage. Grace sets us free! Grace is God's sufficiency to enable us to overcome all contradiction. Everything God is and everything available to us in Him is an outflow of that grace; the full content of His heart towards us!
