Saint Anthony of Padua lived a remarkable life. Traversing four countries of the medieval world, he preached amidst heretical beliefs and scandals of the age. Privileged, well-educated, he chose Franciscan poverty for himself, living out Gospel values which endeared him to the people, establishing him as a model of virtuous living for his time...and perhaps for all time. Travel with the author to Europe which still bears Anthony's footprints. Many photographs document her trail; maps illustrate his journeys. Historical information, including Saint Anthony's own writing, reveals aspects of his personal life and deep abiding faith. Contemporary voices of the faithful and intercultural dialogue spark history, to enrich your understanding of one of the world's most popular religious figures. The last part features all new, insightful Saint Anthony stories and chronicles the roll-out of the author's first book during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Doretta Whalen introduces her second book in honor of this beloved saint. Following Saint Anthony's example of putting faith into action, Whalen donates all receipts from book sales and contributions to her parish, hoping to facilitate a stronger community for liturgical worship, ministry, and outreach. A retired adjunct professor of music, Dr. Whalen resides in Pittsburgh, Pa. where she teaches voice, serves as a cantor and volunteer at the Parish of Saint Raphael the Archangel, and takes part in home Bible study. Her pastimes are swimming, earthing, tap dance, flower gardening, and Duolingo Spanish.
God is love, and the Spirit of the Lord is always battling for our soul. Oftentimes, people who come from a background of living a life of habitual sin tend to believe the lie of the Enemy, which says you're broken beyond repair-but that is far from the truth. All of Tarisha Gisselle Vazquez Rivera's life, she had lived far from God, believing that she was not worthy of His love. But the truth is, when you accept Jesus into your life, He makes you more than worthy. In fact, He makes you feel like royalty. PSALMS NEW COVENANT, a collection of poetry by Tarisha, shows people how when you truly surrender to Jesus, He will restore you from all your sins and comfort you through your trials. Tarisha gave her life to Jesus in October 2020, and less than a year after understanding His grace, love, and mercy, He gave her a purpose, placing a supernatural talent in her to pierce the hearts of those that are called to be His by channeling these beautiful poems of worship to Him for His glory and to reveal His magnificent love for all people in this world. It doesn't matter the background, the circumstance, or the situation you're in; He can do exceedingly above all that you can ever think or ask for if you just allow him to. From Marriage, divorce and an alcohol and pornography addiction. With no home, family or job and only a bottle to give me comfort. God had other plans for my life after my complete restoration back into the kingdom. What was a simple journal, has now turned into a hopeful answer to other men's cry's for help. Men who have the struggles and addictions I did until my father brought home another prodigal son by the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ. Born and raised in Seattle, Washington. My kicks are, gardening and potatoes are where its at for me. This book was just a journal I had started out of depression and yet, God told me to keep on writing.
It is believed by many authors and researchers that successful education is reliant on the teacher's handle on the classroom environment, curriculum, and teaching method. But what about student differences such as IQ, prior knowledge, and learning styles, among all unique variables a room full of individuals contain? In recent years, it's become clear that teacher-student interactions, and the host of variables that affect these interaction patters, can help or hinder student learning. In his book Teaching Is Interaction, Dr. Richard H. Powell shares his experience during his forty-year career in teaching and the information he's gathered that he believes can be helpful for new and seasoned teachers looking to improve their skills and help students learn more effectively. For centuries, there have been many theories and ideas about learning, and Powell looks to crack the argument on behaviorism, which debates whether man is a higher and more complex form of the animal kingdom, or man is created in God's image, with a learning process much more complex than that of the animal kingdom. How different is our learning? How much of it can we control? No one student is exactly like another, and one method or style of teaching may not be appropriate for a variety of students. Teaching requires different strategies and ways to deal with the numerous characteristics and mental processes contained in a single classroom. But what remains the same is that the teacher holds the key to effective student learning in all situations. Dr. Richard H. Powell grew up in the Midwest and has been a high school teacher, middle school and high school principal, and a college professor for over 50 years. He received his master's and doctorate degree from University of Arizona. He has had classroom experience with kids of various ages-elementary to college. Therefore, he wants to share some of his experiences and ideas that he has learned from teachers, authors, and educational research that he believes can be helpful for beginning and experienced teachers. He loves spending time with his family and is a well traveled man who has many countries around the world. He has enjoyed the teaching profession and the interaction with teachers and students of all ages, inside and outside the classroom. It is love for teaching that has inspired him to write this book.

This book also addresses the readers to be more aware of how they can impact the world and makes it easier to understand what caregivers feel as they care for those with needs. Greetings this is Overseer Brenda McAdoo, a servant of Jesus Christ. As a child my mother Minister Madeline Sharpe taught me who Jesus was, and I have not strayed from that teaching. Proverbs 22:6 says Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. I have been saved for over 50 years and I am still standing. I serve in ministry at Power House of Deliverance Church where Bishop William Washington is senior pastor and presiding prelate. I am an ordained minister and a teacher of the Foundational Studies Class teaching New Converts how to study the bible so when the storms of life come they too will be able to stand. I have had challenging times in my life which has led me to write this book. I was saved in a revival service after hearing the word of God preached, the sermon was about the mark of the beast by Bishop Kenneth Bacon in 1971.This was a life changing message and I have been serving God ever since. I was baptized and received the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues in a tarry service held by Missionary Betty Lennon. I was married 49 years to Michael McAdoo Sr. and to this union two children were born Madeline and Michael Jr. who has been a blessing in my life. I graduated from Guilford Technical Community College receiving an associate degree in Human Services in May 2015. This course taught me how to listen to people when they talk, which is the key principle to show you care.

"Why are so many bad things happening?" There is the financial crisis, the political confusion, wars, sickness, the pandemic, crime, mass shootings, earthquakes, weather upheavals, etc. The problem is we are not listening to God. God has forewarned us of the impending dangers during the Last Days/End Times. Yet, because we have not listened to God we are not prepared for the events of today. God has put a burden on my heart to warn Christians about the impending dangers from the prophesied events so that we can be prepared to endure. Therefore, we should not be ignoring Christ we should be listening to Christ OR we will be defeated by Christ. In this book we will examine the Word of God to learn about these dangerous events. This book is for you if you want to be the victor and not the victim. Pastor Daniel B. Keys is a retired pastor with more than 35 years of pastoral experience. Spiritual warfare that takes place when Satan wants to annihilate a local church, and he does so by encouraging the vulnerable to change the Word of God to fit their desires. During this war, Satan sends his many spirits of chaos to try and accomplish his objective-destruction of faith. But the primary spirit that he sends is the spirit of REBELLION. In Fighting in the Church, Denise Trimble illuminates the patterns of that rebellion, as well as the internal, civil fighting that occurs as a result of the rebellion. Inspired by first-hand experience, Trimble knows all too well about the means in which Satan infiltrates a house of God and sends its ministry and members into spiritual battle. About four years ago, Trimble's church was demonically attacked through the spirit of rebellion, and the internal fight that followed was necessary to bring order and honor back to the church. It took all they had to adequately continue to accomplish the kingdom objective. It is Trimble's prayer that through this book, and through the grace of God and the Spirit, that you will be able to identify and understand the patterns of rebellion.

My mother Rose Mae Townsend was an inspiration! She would tell my brother and I what happened in Montgomery Alabama where her parents raised her. My mom's mother died giving birth to her little sister Carrie Townsend making life hard. She helped raise her siblings, always making sure they went to school to learn. My mom spoke of good and bad times growing up in Montgomery ALA. She missed her mom a lot and always told us stories about Roselee Townsend. The way she spoke of the town, places, and stores from the past. I decided to save and go visit that place. I visited the archives and found my mom had more siblings and family. I stayed there for two weeks, talking every day to people and gathering information. My hope is book will one day connect me to this part of my family. Contact me and say, "hello we are related". The Townsends have a rich legacy and I am blessed to be related. The same stories will be passed down to my children and their children. I am 64 years old and thank God for it. Everyone desires to beloved. The more I aged the greater that desire burned in me. I didn't want to end up an old maid. I met a gentleman I thought was God sent. He was much older, we started dating and he swept me off my feet. I knew this would last forever. Being with him I was fulfilled and happier than I have ever been. The sad thing was he had another side. Eventually it is revealed, but my dream colored reality. Then one night God manifested himself to me. He spoke, warning me not to proceed. I didn't want to believe what he was saying. With fear griping my heart I curled up in a fetal position. He told me, he is not your husband. He asked, do you want to be a nurse maid? He is to old for you. You will regret marrying him. That morning I grabbed my belongings and ran like a bat out of hell. Roberta Gibson is a wife, mother, and Nana. It all began with a fever and a sore throat. One night, three-year-old Shamar wakes up with a 101 temperature and a sore throat. Concerned it could be strep, Shamar's mother, Faye, ensures she sees a doctor as soon as possible. After a routine check-up and a prescription, the only thing left for the family to do is wait for their little girl to get better. Time goes by and Shamar's condition is getting worse. Knowing there was something deeper than what the doctors could detect, Faye goes on a hunt to find a doctor who can tell her what is wrong with her daughter. She finally finds one and is given a diagnosis that she and her family could never have imagined. Shamar has Kawasaki, a rare disease of unknown cause that causes inflammation in the walls of blood vessels in the heart. If Shamar is not neutralized within ten days, she could endure serious heart problems in the future. Time is of the essence for the doctors to help, though knowledge of treatments for the disease is as rare as the disease itself. Hope seems to be dwindling as a miracle cure seems to be impossible to find with the passing of each day, yet the Kennel family is not ready to give up. Through love and the power of prayer, they give Shamar to God, knowing that nothing is impossible for Him. All they can do now is pray for a miracle to happen. Introduction To my primary care physicians, PA's, NP's, physical therapists, medical residents, and medical student friends, this is for you! This book is a clinical reference guide of musculoskeletal exams and algorithms for workup. The initial flow charts are designed for the common clinical presentations to help navigate which pathologies may be most likely, or, the table of contents to get you to the clinical information you need: differential diagnoses, provocative exams, workup, and non-operative and operative considerations. This clinical reference is 100% evidence based. If there was no significant evidence for an exam or treatment modality, it was not listed. The content in this text has no opinion, only information and algorithms found in the literature. There is plenty of room for your autonomy in decision making with solid references to back the management necessary for each clinical presentation. I know you will find this a helpful resource! Dr. Malinda Hansen has always had an enthusiasm for sports and competition.
