Terry learned compassion and love because of the saying she learned to live by, "My parents are the best bad example I could have ever had." She decided her life would never follow their example because what if that nightmare life didn't happen and she ended up like them? The family curse had to be broken... for this, she found gratefulness..An incredible collection of true stories of how to turn pain and suffering into strength and courage through God's guidance!Terry's life message is clear: no matter who you are, no matter where you are, it's possible for you to overcome just about anything, from dysfunctional parents, flawed families, extreme poverty, mental illness, divorce, bankruptcy, and physical sickness and more. She grew up with an alcoholic father, a mentally disturbed mother, in foster homes, or lived with any family members who would take her in throughout her entire childhood. She suffered a poverty life that caused her family to move to at least 26 different homes that she could remember from an early age, and most included no running water or bathroom. At around 6 or 7 years of age, she overcame an accidental drug overdose from negligence... She was left with a babysitter who slapped her in the face so hard that her teeth bled...and there was no one to go to for help...this is where she became numb to her surroundings..
