Raymond was born in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, Ireland in 1953. His father, Sam Pratt, a USAF sergeant pilot-mechanic from Louisiana, served at Langford Lodge in Northern Ireland during World War II. Sam would marry Marie Kane, a local lady from Limerick city and have one surviving son and four daughters. Such a mixture of uncharacteristic beginnings and an innate wanderlust, can be occasionally observed in many Pratt families. A number of years spent studying in Weber State University in Utah, USA, along with a superior Jesuit education, offered Raymond a rich wellspring to draw inspiration from. This is his first attempt into the field of prosody. Please enjoy.
