Lero and Jean have worked for Jefe in a unit located at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona for more than a year. After his last "project," Jefe and the President assured Lero that he would not be put in danger again. This latest "project" gives Lero an opportunity to plan and direct a very important undertaking. His crew will parachute into Iran to ex-filtrate a woman who has been supplying information about the nuclear weapons program for some years. She has input a computer virus into the mainframe computer of the nuclear site which has caused complete chaos, damaged many centrifuges and necessitated the recycling of the isotopes that were in the centrifuges when the virus caused them to over-speed. Because she is now under growing suspicion, Lero and his crew must Go Get Nadja.
Triumphant is a collection of women's stories that speaks not only to many of life's challenges and overcoming them, but to an appreciation of womanhood and gaining self-awareness. Their stories are poignant, funny and thought-provoking.
Lero and Jean have been working to prepare others to go off on "projects" for more than a year. Lero is in charge of a unit of special operators which is located on the northeast corner of Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson and which reports directly to the President. Now, in the middle of the night, the President wants them to join the effort to prevent a group of terrorists from using a missing airliner to transport nuclear, biological and chemical weapons to the target of their anger. Lero and Jean must move fast and the airplane is half a world away. In pursuit, many power levers are pushed to the stops. Hundreds of people are involved in the pursuit. Come along, but pull your seat belt tight.
A series of short stories about aviation, first in India during World War II, involving the author's father, a Flight Surgeon in the United States Army Medical Corps, and later, involving people known to the author in West Virginia and Tennessee.
Lero and Jean are sent on a mission to disable or destroy a triggering device for a nuclear weapon that is in the final stages of assembly in a country that has sworn to wipe an ally of the United States off the map.
Mr. Murfree (code name of the President) tells Lero that his contacts have determined that an ally is planning a unilateral strike on a common adversary. Both men realize that this could set off a regional conflict. He asks Lero and his group to get involved.
