Against overwhelming odds, Brooks selfl essly volunteers to put himself in harm's way to aid a crucial mission, earning him the love of his fellow soldiers and the respect of his superiors. We stayed in touch at first, but as the years went by our communications were few and far between. How can our friendship survive when loving him is forbidden? I won't cross that line.
