Cedric - Footprints in the Sand is an epoch dog tale. Inspired by the true story of a shipwrecked Newfoundland dog who wandered into a small coastal village. Finding his way to the end of a pier, he would spend the remainder of his years rescuing twenty-three people from other shipwrecks. During the Victorian Era, the great English painter, Sir Edwin Landseer, did a portrayal of the dog with the sea and gulls behind him. However, it was painted thirty years after the dog had died and there is little known about this remarkable creature. With a spark of creative industry, Barry Stebbing began filling in many of the blanks in this masterful tale of historical fiction believing it is a true classic in the making. Cedric is a delightful read for all ages. Written with a touch of prose, it allows the reader's imagination to wander into a wonderful era. Along with following Cedric as he fights his way through tumultuous seas to rescue shipwrecked souls, the reader follows the life of a young aspiring artist and that of many other intriguing Dickens-like characters, traveling through various chapters with a soft flow of faith and romance. Animal stories invariably have a way of touching one's heart and the author's purpose is to bring the reader to a sublime place above the mundane cares of the world; to ponder upon things that are good, and pure, and uplifting, long after the final page is read.
I believe that Jesus Christ speaks to us every day, in ways we sometimes don't understand. We may be locked into our own agenda that we neglect Jesus' purpose for our lives. What I have written here is to be taken as our Lord speaking his will into our lives. After several attempts by others to 'save my soul', I bought a bible and began my own investigation of the matter. The more I read my bible, the more convinced I become that Jesus Christ really is the Son of God. He came to save us, for sure. But more importantly, he came to show us how we have gotten off track by allowing our own will to separate us from God.
There is no doubt that society today is experiencing a mental health crisis. Depression and anxiety are on the rise, and many people find themselves feeling overwhelmed and not sure where to turn. In times like these, what is the church doing to help? As Christians, what does it look like to address mental health from a spiritual perspective? It's Mind over Matter: It's Not That Crazy by Staccato Powell II is a compelling dissertation which provides an in-depth study into the mental health epidemic of people, preachers, and parishioners within the context of Fisher African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Phoenix, Arizona. Informed and inspired by his own experiences with mental illness, Staccato initially intended to write a book addressing the church's response to mental illness. When discovering the lack of response from the church as a whole in this area, however, his focus shifted to educating the church on new ways to think about mental health. Discussing biblical characters, such as Job and the demoniac in Luke 5, as well as historical figures like Abraham Lincoln, Staccato focuses on the mental health struggles each individual had and how we can learn from their experiences in our own lives. The book addresses mental health from a variety of perspectives and encourages readers that mental illness is not a sign of weakness. Rather, people who struggle with mental illness possess great strength and the capacity to live fulfilling, positive lives. Reverend Doctor Staccato Keithan Powell II was born on an Easter Sunday in April 22, 1984. In 2003, Reverend Powell attended Lincoln University. It would be here that Rev. Powell was initiated into the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Beta Chapter. He would describe his initiation as one of the most challenging but rewarding experiences. Rev. Powell would graduate from Lincoln University in 2007 and begin to shape the lives of the individuals he encountered in an excellent way. After graduating from the first HBCU in the nation he immediately enrolled into Duke University and completed his Master's of Divinity at the oldest black institution of the south, Shaw University, to study under Gardner C. Taylor. He currently serves as the senior pastor of Fisher A.M.E. Zion church in Phoenix, AZ. Recently he received his Doctorate in Ministry at United Theological Seminary where he is now an adjunct professor.

The journey of learning to recognize God's voice and discern His guidance is a gradual process. Learning to identify His leadings and guidance became a series of steps for me. Hearing specific instructions, and finding answers, is not something learned overnight. It's akin to how children learn to speak and comprehend language over time. It's a lifetime of learning. A process. A journey of thousands of little steps. The book identifies several personal experiences where God spoke, I recognized His voice and when I obeyed, the consequences were life changing. In each circumstance His direction proved to be perfect not only for the immediate but for years to come. When the scripture says that God's ways are perfect, we need to ask ourselves, why do I want my own way?

We often seek success, only to be left with a hollow feeling. Miseries of Success recounts the tale of one man's lengthy road to achieving success. After two decades of highs and lows, he eventually established a prosperous company. Yet when he sold it, his heart was broken, his family connections were frayed, and he faced an identity crisis. While this book tells the story of his success, it focuses on how he overcame these difficulties afterward. It also shows how God revealed to him that his true identity lies within Jesus Christ. Buddy Raney is a follower of Christ, husband, father, and papa as well as an accomplished business owner. Despite coming from a broken family and having only finished eighth grade, God has blessed him with incredible success. He was able to build a construction business over the span of two decades, though his greatest challenge came when he finally sold it. After that, Buddy had to figure out who he was without his company. Today, Buddy is secure with his identity in Christ. He knows there are more struggles to work through daily, but is enjoying his time with family and encouraging those around him.
By reading this book, the reader will discover one individual's process for seeking, understanding, and developing "the Journey" that is created for ALL humanityJack's process (as described in the author's bio), and his daily communication with Almighty God, is ongoing. It has provided him with a heightened sense of spiritual awareness, guidance, and messages. Throughout his daily affirmations and living, he composed written notes and memos to record the energy and thoughts as he felt and received them. It became clear to Jack that his purpose of life is to create and experience those aspects of the mind, body, and spirit as a physical and spiritual Journey. This, he believes, is the exact purpose and Journey that Jesus demonstrated, taught, and manifested on Earth. The transmutation and resurrection of Jesus's soul and being (Journey) was to once again be One with, as, and of Almighty God and Source. Jack L. Vaughn has been a Financial Consultant (CPA) for over 45 years, living in Arizona state. He wrote a book entitled "American Business and Investment Visa," published in 2012. During his career, Jack reached out to the Spiritual and Metaphysical communities during four distinct periods, seeking knowledge and understanding to learn, know, and live a life with the Almighty God and Spirit Presence within his heart and soul on a daily basis. During these times, he read and studied over 100 books, publications, videos, and spiritual programs; attended seminars; and visited various spiritual organizations. This was his attempt to develop a Truth for himself, regarding the cause, creation, and evolution of Almighty God, Spirit, Love, and Truth that is "the Journey," already completed. This process provided Jack with the spiritual guidance and inspiration to write this book about the Journey for ALL.
From the beginning of time, God communed with mankind, not like he did in the beginning, but He does in the heart of man today. He also speaks when natural disasters occur to specific acts of His judgment. He is always in control of all things by his acts. The disasters we have faced have been outside of human control. They have been unpredictable and unpreventable in our pass and present time. What is God trying to say in all of this. He wants us to be stronger and be reflective of Him. That's why we have trials in our lives so we can change our ways. He is a Purifier and a Refiner, that's the kind of love he gives. He cleanses us of all unrighteousness by the blood of Jesus Christ. Refine is the message! Gloria Murphy Carroll was born in Washington, D.C., and attended public schools. She has trained in biblical studies and seminars for over thirty-five years. Gloria has received much of her people knowledge on the streets of Washington, D.C., and surrounding areas, where she has nurtured people who were in despair and needed direction. She says, "It is important that every person look over their life starting from childhood, when we were very sensitive. Things may have been crucial and some hard to forget like bodily harm, ridicule because of failure, and rejection just to name a few. Take a view in your mind of these things that caused us as adults to be stand-off-ish or unfriendly and so timid. It made us hold jealousy in our hearts, and kept us from being a part of anything and so reluctant to try. We must find the root and let God refine us and He will break the chain."
After feeling deceived, hurt, and powerless, Carmen Jones had to muster all her physical and mental strength to crawl out of the constant fear she felt. As the oldest of five, she was forced to take on responsibilities not meant for a child. Not being able to understand the rapidly changing world around her made her feel isolated and hopeless, but her determination to be happy and safe never faltered.Beaten Never Broken focuses on the obstacles that Carmen Jones had to face in her younger years. From being put in an abusive foster home to being hurt by those she loved and trusted, Carmen felt like she was losing sight of who she truly was. In her darkest moments, she found the power of God and looked toward Him to find the light. Today, she thanks Him for giving her the strength to persevere. While thinking over her past experiences, Carmen now understands that her path to healing and forgiveness was never meant to be an easy one. She knows that each battle she was faced with made her the warrior she is today. Through her book, she hopes readers will recognize that she is not a victim but rather a victor who has overcome adversity and emerged triumphant. As a child, Carmen Jones grew up in the Winthrop Projects in New Rochelle, New York. She was surrounded by drugs, poverty, and immense physical and emotional pain. Melly has always had a temper, and as far as she has been concerned it's only when needed. The only thing that was as strong as her temper was her blood bay horse, just as protective as it was big. She had learned how to handle most things from a young age, but especially after most of her family moved after their mother passed and a couple years later her grandmother as well. Just a few months before her eighteenth birthday they had gotten a letter from her family saying it was time for her and Gramps to move in with them, that everything had gotten taken care of. Leaving all she has known behind, and traveling across the country it leaves a lot of questions in her head. Would her horse Bear keep away any threats? Or would it be forever the thing that would keep her a maid? Born in a small rural town in the countryside of Kansas, and being the youngest of her family with three older brothers she was no stranger to dirt roads or honest work. Moving to Oklahoma in her twenties she enjoyed the country lifestyle. Raising horses, and cattle all year round, with a summertime garden. When she wasn't working or living the lifestyle, she spent time writing stories, painting, and traveling across the United States learning all kinds of history. Having a particularly soft spot for the Western 1800s history.
""Oh no," you say, "not more devotional drivel!" Well, don't you DARE read another page. If you have no interest in the Last Days' Museum, FBI liaisons, touring Black Plagued England, the Valley of Seahorses, or Connumist Sufertuge, go ahead, put it down. If you're curious, pay up, find a chair, close your mouth, and open the cover. Yes, the Muse for this collection has an attitude. Asia can be infuriatingly polite, and the sentimental tone of many devotionals is equally exasperating. Let's not forget, God kicks butt. So, I tell it straight as often as I tell a story. Now, get ready to have your act put together-knowing you, you'll never do so yourself. Sincerely, in your face, The Curmudgeon. About the Curmudgeon: Seeing the world from atop a Thai elephant, under an ultra-light, through the Siberian Railroad's dusty windows, between old cell bars in New Jersey and New Orleans, and dangling from a parachute in Iwate, Japan, the author, compiler, and plagiarist, is a hodgepodge of law-offender, hippy, world traveler, and wimp. His favorite nomenclature, however, would be child of God. His journey in recent decades has seen he and his family, Yuko, Caleb, and Corey, settle in Cambodia and Japan."--

Be informed, medication and counseling manage symptoms, but fail to treat the root cause. Your answer is found in Christ Jesus. He abolished fear's power and will provide you with peace and a sound mind. Author Theresa Ellison will point those suffering with fear and anxiety to Christ's saving grace. God's truth will liberate people from the bondage of fear as they discover the door to peace is dwelling right in their midst. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (Jn. 14:27). Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. (Jn. 10:7). Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD. (Zech. 2:10).

My story dive deep into how I was deceived by manipulation in my marriage. I was like a pitiful puppy permanently positioned under the table, waiting for the smallest crumbs of affection, from my husband. I begged for everything that was important to me, going to church as a family, date nights, social and family gatherings, board games, playing cards, and socializing with couples. I am no longer "under the table" begging for crumbs. Like a starving puppy, I lapped up the attention when it was convenient for him emotionally and sexually. I will never again wait to catch crumbs of love. God, in the name of Jesus rescued me! Now I know who I am, and my immeasurable value in Christ Jesus. I am a daughter of the kingdom of God. I know my posture and position, as I totally lean on the heavenly Father's guidance in my life! Her marriage experience inspired her to begin writing. I wrote this book for daily encouragement for my family, friends, and loved ones to stay encouraged no matter what comes their way. Always, remember that God is with you throughout every situation that you may be going through. This is a reminder that God is with you every step of the way no matter what the enemy tries to bring before you. Always remember, that your storms are only temporary and there is a purpose and plan for your life. My name is Jennifer Dorsey, I was born and raised in Natchitoches, Louisiana. I am the mother of three handsome boys and a wife to my loving husband. I was raised in the Church of God in Christ. Throughout my life there were many ups and downs but God stayed within my heart. God's word encouraged me to stay strong, stay encouraged, to hold on and never give up for he was and has always been with me every step of the way. God gave me the inspiration for this book to encourage others that no matter your background, lifestyle, or mental health status is; he is there and will love you even when you don't seek him or want to be kept.
High School basketball star Bobby Ridell, with colleges lining up for him to attend, befriends the wrong person and is falsely accussed of drug dealing. In the most unlikely of places, Bobby meets Jesus and what he thought was his end of life, turns around better than ever before, and meets the love of his life, thanks to God's grace. Stone Carter writes christian fiction novels, centered on how God uses difficult and seemingly impossible circumstances, to bring the ones He loves to a closer walk with Him. Living himself through several challenging circumstances, Carter writes to encourage the reader in their journey to seek Jesus first, in all things, as Jesus met him in storms most could not survive. It's for Jesus' glory, to worship Him by serving His Kingdom, with passion, and commitment to caring for the lost who do not know Him.
