'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the 'hood...Who knew holidays in this part of town could be so good? The story sounds familiar: the kids are asleep while their parents are up way past bedtime. Debra Harris reimagins this classic tale of Santa's hard work to make all the children of the world, even the ones in the 'hood, feel happy and loved. We think we know the whole story, but Saint Nick is full of surprises! Just check out the spinner rims on his ride... who knows what kinds of flashy gifts could be inside? Get ready to find out and start a new holiday tradition with The Night Before Christmas in the Hood.
This is the fifth book that our Father has had me write. This too, does reveal more secrets that have been since the foundation of the world. Through this book and the others, we give an understanding of who our Father is, what He is doing and why He is doing what He is doing. Along with that, we will be showing how we are spiritually reigning with Christ now. We show how it is now just as the days of Noah. We show a divine understanding of the ten commandments. We will once again, reveal the secret of the forbidden fruit. We will be showing what the one sin of the world is and yes, this will take you by surprise. We will finally be understanding what it means to hear, "let the dead bury the dead", In the chapter called the walking dead. We will also be learning how the scriptures are coming to life, as we are living today. And finally, this book concludes all that our Father had me put in the first book. This is the book that wraps all that He introduced to me back in 2015, or better said, connects all the dots. I am a man that has truly put all my trust into our Father and the King James Version of the Bible. At no time during my journey that started in 2011, have I thought that I needed to obtain my knowledge of the Bible and our Father by any other means. Our Father has taught me how to listen to Him. He has taught me how not to use my imagination and think that He can be found anywhere other than the Bible. Now because time is running out, I share this knowledge with the world.
Childlike trust brings a new awareness that hope is available and help is on the way. A prophetic dream reveals our heart sets the standard for what we will see. As God reveals Himself to us, we respond with our heart, creating an attitude of childlike trust in a good Father. Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18:3, NASB1995). It is written, "Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him." For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God . . . but we have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:9-16, NASB 1995). We "tremble at His Word" out of awe and wonder, and our hearts grow more in love with Him. This attitude causes even trials and suffering to become growth opportunities. The opposite attitude creates arrogance and a stubborn, unrepentant heart. Living in his kingdom is glorious. Glory can be defined as copiousness, which means "large in quantity or number; abundant; plentiful." His kingdom is boundless, limitless, complete, perfect. His only request is that we trust Him as a good Father. With God, all things are possible. This attitude begins now in our heart and will take all of eternity to discover. Kenneth R. Kehl is now retired after a career as a successful insurance broker. He has been happily married for sixty-two years and has three children, twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He continues to encourage prisoners in the So. California area with his message of hope.

This sinful generation pays no attention to what the Word of God says. The Word is pure, holy, and clean. Nothing erases His Word, for His Word will stand forever. It has been preached that He's coming again from generation to generation. Jesus is coming back. It might not be in my lifetime or in yours, but it was prophesied generations ago that Jesus would return. I believe in the Holy Word, the Promise. Times are worse than ever before. It is just like in Noah's day when people were full of sin. They paid no attention and did not listen to the preached Word of God, and they were destroyed. Just like each disobedient generation, not wanting to do what Jehovah God told them to do, their hearts were hardened and they had to suffer the consequences. Let us listen and pay attention to the Word. He's coming back! Pearline Riley Seaton was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi. She was the seventh of eleven children. Pearline's parents instilled in all of their children the basic scripture, Hebrews 12:14, "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord." Pearline received her Associate of Arts Degree from Coahoma Community College in Clarksdale, MS; Bachelor of Science in Education from Jackson State University in Jackson, MS; and Master of Arts in Urban Teacher Education from Governor's State University in Park Forest, IL. She was an elementary school teacher with Chicago Public Schools for thirty-four years. Pearline is the mother of six children, sixteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
This book of prayers believed in faith and acted upon according to God's word will put you over to the other side of life where your victory of triumph abides. It excels, promotes, moves you forward into God's realms of success. Life in Christ awaits you as you apply the principles of God's word from within. The price has been paid, the victory has been made, the finish work on Calvary is what it takes. It has nothing to do with what we have accomplished. It's all about Christ in us the hope of glory. He always causes us to triumph in him. So harken to his voice, apply God's principles, and know God loves you exceedingly, abundantly and more than enough. So run your race today. Marlene Babb is a spirit filled child of God bought and purchased with the blood Jesus shed. She began to be inspired to write the written page when God said, I gave this gift to others and they did nothing with it. Now the baton has been passed to you. So many die and go to the grave and never hear of the exploits of faith that I have brought forth into people's lives. Her response was, yes Lord, I will obey. She is married to the love of her life for 49 years and has 2 children. Together as team players they work side by side trained in the ministry of healing, deliverance and prophecy for a now word through the leadership of Vision Church Christian International.
When my husband violently attacked me at 4 a.m. on Christmas Eve 1990 using a newspaper torch, I first thought my life was over. My second thought was my children. I silently prayed to God to protect me and my children. With my upper torso in flames then I saw an angel guide me down the hall to the bathroom where I was able to lock the door, get in the shower, and put out the flames. Through this ordeal and my faith in God I knew God would get me through this emotional and physical trial. With my trust and faith in God, He healed me physically and most importantly because of my faith I was emotionally able to continue to deal with my hurt and my pain. Also, the care of my children. I know God cares for all of us. Vickie Richardson was born and raised in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. She now resides in Cincinnati, Ohio. The incident she writes about led her to a career as a paraprofessional for 29 years in the Northwest Local School District. Since retiring, Vickie decided to tell the world her story. Vickie now enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and biking.
The final frontier is conquered. Space is taken and being taken. But at what cost? And how? Once men sought to fly like birds. Now, they fly faster than the light of the sun. But were we really meant to go so fast? So far? So high? When does Icarus fall? In the strange and alien landscape of the warp, hyperspace, the space between spaces, men see visions, hear songs, and some never return. Those who do, sometimes see giant planets of gas and hydrogen, and hear murmured lullabies. Always before us lie the stars, and always behind, Earth. Which will we choose? A lifelong student of fantastical literature of all kinds, Aleksandr grew up fascinated with astronomy and the imagery inherent to space stories and science fiction. The stories of interstellar travel, and the perils of venturing from earth, the vast expanses of endless gemstone stars in the black vaults of space, these are the passions brought forth in this narrative. Inspired by stories such as Herbert's Dune, where the travel through the stars involves visions, and the mystical, combined with a love for the oldest traditions of literature, with all its tragedy and victory, led to this tale.
This book is a hands-on instructional guide on how to upgrade a law enforcement agency to a true profession. It begins with identifying the mechanical structures of a profession and how these should be applied to a law enforcement agency. It then moves into the virtue elements of a true profession and how to instill these into officers. The book concludes by viewing a number of worldviews to determine which worldviews contribute positively to the law enforcement profession. The final chapters give suggestions on how these should be implemented in a department and then in a community. Michael Lindsay began his law enforcement career in 1971 as an MP during the Vietnam era. After his military obligation, Mike worked as a deputy marshal in Westville, Indiana and as a park policeman in La Porte while completing his degrees. He married his sweetheart, Denise, in 1980. Mike was later offered the marshal position in Westville where he served for nearly seven years. He then took employment as a staff instructor at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) in 1986. In 2003, he took employment transporting prisoners for the US Marshal Service across the western United States and to El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. In 2006, Mike was called back to the ILEA as Deputy Director for the Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board and academy. He retired in October of 2017. After retirement, Mike discovered Bible prophecy and has been amazed by it ever since.
Within these pages are real stories of struggle and hope, of pain and joy, of addiction and abuse followed by freedom and forgiveness, grace and love, and Jesus. Within these pages are stories of young love, of loss, of new beginnings and love restored. One couple has been married less than a year and another almost 40 years. One couple met as children and another met at church at a time when they believed love to be a thing of the past. As you read, our hope is that you would begin to write your own story. That your marriage is strengthened and in turn your story would strengthen someone else. My name is Jackie Vazquez, my husband Mick and I began a journey six years ago that led us here. A dear friend told us "if you save a marriage, you save a family for generations to come" and we ran with that. We have been married over 30 years, and we decided we wanted to help others and in turn experience something new in our own marriage. We began facilitating marriage groups, then we started hosting yearly retreats, and this year we established a non-profit. Our hope is to grow this ministry and help others do what we do. Our hope is to help generations to come. We know what it is to struggle, Jesus saved our marriage and in turn our family. Our children, now young adults, are reaping the rewards of a decision we made to hold on to Jesus and hold on to each other.
Dr. Gwen, bestselling author of the "Ripe Time", continues the journey of a spiritual path; of having a relationship with God. She introduces scriptures, inspirational short stories, and experiences to encourage us. The "New Beginning" Spiritual Fruit- will give you hope in these perilous and difficult times, because nothing is impossible, with God. Scriptures, inspirational shorts and sharing of her experiences, brings to light the journey of life that we all are on. We should never give up or give in, but look to the hills from, which our help comes. The back drops are the Psalms- which symbolize the way to rejoice in prayer, to bow in worship, to exalt God, for all he does, and for all the blessings to us. There are several other scriptures that speak to seasons and coming to the realization that God, Jehovah, is the answer.

WINNER OF THE 2023 NANCY PEARL AWARD "Cabreza has written a wonderfully engaging memoir. She expertly weaves together moments of heart-pounding adventure and moments of quiet, profound reflection. The result is a compelling story of a life lived with admirable gusto and deep thoughtfulness. I enjoyed every minute of it." (Daniel James Brown, author of Boys in the Boat and Facing the Mountain) Part cultural travelogue, part wildlife encounters and part dangerous, risk-filled adventure, this fascinating memoir follows the journey of a young female biologist during the 1950s-1970s, who was disillusioned with the country and frustrated by the conservative gender and social confines of the 1960s Midwest. At age twelve, inspired by a Life Magazine article, she developed an ambitious global goal list. She set out to accomplish it, eventually leaving the States for two decades of real-world adventures living in the Costa Rican Jungle, Hawaii, Asia, the Philippines, and Guam. She left searching for adventure, but along the way, she also battled family opposition, the frustrations of working in a male-dominated field, the invisible tentacles of the new Vietnam war, and the unconventional challenges of an interracial/intercultural marriage during an era when this was very unconventional. The adventures and dangers she faced helped her rediscover her country, find her life's passion, and eventually discover her faith. The story provides a valuable message for young people, about how going against what is considered "normal" allowed her to discover a world far greater than she could ever have imagined. Joan's forty-year career in biology and environmental protection spans research, academia, consulting, and government service. After her years abroad, she spent twenty-three years with the federal Environmental Protection Agency in Seattle and later edited the Aquatic Invasive Species Newsletter for the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission in Portland. She has lectured extensively on environmental programs, invasive species, gardening to attract wildlife, and native plants. A world traveler and Master Gardener emeritus, she lives outside Seattle with her husband Carlos, a large organic garden, a flock of chickens, and occasionally, a great blue heron. This book is geared toward anybody and everybody that has ever looked at their life and said, "There has to be more to my life than this!" This is the exact realization I came to that prompted me to write it. When it comes to my style of talking, ministering, and even writing I am a big believer in the KISS method (and no, not the crazy 70s rock band)... Keep It Simple Silly. So this book, in the simplest of terms, addresses 3 basic life questions: 1- where you are at, 2- where you want to be, and 3- exactly how you are going to get there. Looking back over my life I can say the overall message in this book truly is all the things that God has been saying to me for almost 60 years but, until the last 15 years, I never took the time to listen to Him or ever really do anything about. Now that I have, I openly acknowledge that the views I'm sharing with you come from a faith-based biblical perspective: first and foremost God is real; second that He loves everyone unconditionally (yes even you); and lastly that He wants you to live a blessed and abundant life. Even if you're not quite ready to agree with those three points I firmly believe the principles that are discussed in each chapter will, at the very least, challenge you and give you the confidence to make some positive changes in your life; to find more and to believe that change is possible (which in my case seemed completely impossible or unimaginable)! Michael Lovrick lives in Des Moines, Washington. He is a Pastor and works as the Program Director & Transitional Care Manager for House of Mercy ministries. He is a loving father, grandfather, and passionate follower of Jesus. He has been called to preach the Gospel and when necessary... to use words. If this book spoke to you in any way or if you have any questions you can contact him at mpl.pact@gmail.com
One day while in meditation, I could sense the concern of God by his Spirit as it relates to His kingdom citizens. One major concern of his is that the church, which is built upon the solid rock of the very identity of Jesus Christ his dear Son, has lost its identity. As Jesus taught in his three and a half years of earthly ministry, he spoke of the Kingdom of God. He described to us in parables and clear speech just what the Kingdom is like. In doing so, he put forth the edicts of the King and established in the ears of the hearers, Kingdom Culture and Custom. By way of the death, the burial, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we have been made kings and priests in God's Kingdom. However, before we can function as kings, we must learn to function as priests. And before we can function as priests, we must learn our rights and privileges as accepted, beloved, redeemed, adopted, born again sons of the living King, and as love abiding citizens in his Kingdom. My name is Dwayne Michael Coleman Sr. I was born and raised in Gary Indiana, (or as I like to affectionately call it), "Glory Indiana." As a preacher of almost Thirty years, and a pastor of fifteen years, one of my greatest concerns has become that the people of God understand that we are loved abiding citizens in his Kingdom of God. That being said, I believe it also imperative that we understand the customs and the culture of the Kingdom of Godss well. I don't believe that it is like anything that we have heard preached. But hopefully what I have written here in this book will bring insight on how the kingdom of God operates. But more importantly I hope to bring to bear the heart of the King Himself.
