Spending an entire childhood orphaned, delinquent, and with a school dropout label, led to a challenging twisted journey toward achievements not thought possible - earning the highest academic degree, and leading a successful and incredibly fulfilling career in behavioral health.Overcoming adversity and challenges built an internal resilience that was beneficial in overcoming obstacles that were perceived as roadblocks. Experiencing moments of sorrow in witnessing the pain and suffering of hungry and starving children in Africa, led to accompanying moments of guilt directed at a world of wealth with an abundance of food. Surviving stage four cancer led to a deeper appreciation of life and the recognition that the benevolence and mercy of Almighty God played a significant role in reshaping my early wayward life. Hopefully, my story will inspire others facing similar challenges to directly face their darkness and redirect their life to a shining light. Jules Modlinski is a retired executive director of Southside (Virginia) Community Services Board (now Southside Behavior Health). He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He is a graduate of Wisconsin State College - Whitewater, where he was a member of Phi Chi Epsilon Fraternity. He is also a graduate of the Former American Institute of Foreign Trade (Thunderbird), now known as Thunderbird School of Global Management, a part of Arizona State University. He is the author of three books critical of the American Moravian Church for interpreting the Bible with a newfound "elasticity" and permissiveness. He served in the U.S. military (1951-1955), with a tour of duty in Korea. He worked to further the U.S. Food for Peace Program in Africa from 1962 to 1966. He is presently married to Larua Le and lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The Edible Word is a physical description of spiritual truth. It was conceived out of a prophetic word and is creatively written by lead of the Holy Spirit. God's Word is made alive by making it tangible with the use of food items, recipes and baking challenges, biblical stories and personal stories.Through the author's own life experiences, a proven message of God's love, His saving power, His healing power and His forgiveness are demonstrated. An emphasis is placed on the importance of faith in God; hearing Him and trusting in what was heard through acts of obedience. A powerful message of hope and freedom in Jesus Christ is the overall theme of this book. More than 20 years of teaching in children's ministry taught Anita to pray about her lessons and wait patiently on the voice of God for His answer. That same process led her to come to know God's divine purpose for her life, writing. In her early adult life, fear kept her from pursuing many of her dreams. But after several life-altering challenges and much time in prayer, her faith overcame her fears.Today, she is a published author as a result of hearing God and trusting in what He said.Anita enjoys sewing, embroidery, crafting and baking as well as writing. In law enforcement, individuals are often promoted to supervisory positions before receiving training to serve in those positions effectively. This has ended in catastrophic failure or the proverbial sink-or-swim situation for many first-line supervisors. These first-line leadership failures can have a high price tag for law enforcement agencies. Readers of The MASCOT LEADER will find foundational success principles in their agency's mission, values, policies, and procedures, such as their Field Training Manuals. Using the MASCOT mnemonic, the reader will embark on visible and memorable perspectives of these usable principles. The MASCOT Leadership model is a valuable resource for officers seeking to become first-line supervisors or those already in the role but needing to heighten their leadership acumen. Moreover, there is a theme throughout the book stressing the officers' need to recognize that they are direct representatives, like a MASCOT, of their organization when in uniform. William G. Thompson Jr., also known as Jerry, is a retired law enforcement veteran who worked for the Ohio State Highway Patrol for 31 years. He began as a cadet dispatcher and advanced to become the Northeast Ohio LCS Unit Commander. Jerry's qualifications include Ohio Peace Officers Training Instructor, a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management, a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership, and a Northwestern University Staff and Command School graduate. Jerry is an instructor with FBI-LEEDA, providing instruction in Supervisor and Command Leadership concepts. He was raised by devout Christian parents who instilled values that have been key to his success in life and within every organization he has served. Jerry strongly believes every law enforcement officer needs to recognize that they are a direct reflection of their organization - a MASCOT.

To create a welcoming and competitive workforce that celebrates diversity and encourages creativity, an equal employment opportunity (EEO) philosophy is crucial. While fulfilling EEO guidelines might prove challenging, organizations that uphold diversity and equality among their staff may experience a notable boost in their reputations in addition to an upsurge in morale and engagement among their workers. Companies that prioritize EEO have a considerably greater likelihood of enduring prosperity because there are far more advantages associated with it compared to disadvantages. Businesses could establish a workplace that is more appealing to a large pool of candidates and, eventually, result in an increased number of skilled and robust staff by addressing issues such as unintentional discrimination and prejudice and controlling the possibility of criticism among employees or stakeholders. In a nutshell, employers are obligated to select candidates primarily for their skills as well as work experience instead of their identity, and this tends to be the case. As a result, the organization may include individuals of various nationalities, genders, religions, ages, and professions. Consequently, workplace diversity advances, and workers become more prepared to contribute a variety of perspectives on tasks, processes, and outcomes than more uniform teams could. Employers must also meet their standards in addition to diversifying the staff they employ. It is of the utmost importance to guarantee that each person works in a setting that allows them to be appreciated, secure, and have the opportunity for advancement. Both the employees and the business will benefit from making diversity, equity, and inclusion a core value of their company's culture. When employees are appreciated, accepted, and at ease in their position of responsibility, the effectiveness of a business may increase.

God did it for us, and He can do it for you! Traci and her outdoorsman husband, Blake are currently raising their three wild boys on their hobby farm in rural Washington state with lots of grit and even more grace. Since the beginning of humanity, the oneness of man and woman has been threatened by the Enemy. The fall of our first parents has sentenced us all to inborn sin, but some of us have been affected by the beguiling and cunning of the serpent more than others. CH (LTC-R) David Lee Druckenmiller's Memories of Loving You/ Our Forgiven Love is a two-part narrative. Within the first part, Druckenmiller takes artistic initiative in telling the story of the Garden of Eden, where he describes God's creative design of man and woman, recounts Eve's temptation and Adam's misjudgment, and delineates the impact the fall of man had on all creation. The second part of this story follows Druckenmiller's own life, memories, marriage, struggle, and fall after his own run in with the devil, who tempted his wife and cut the seams holding his family together after forty-six years of marriage. The walk with God that we hunger for includes forgiveness and reconciliation, but when it comes to a marriage infiltrated by the Enemy, can the union be saved? Compare the love of God with His purpose and plan for humanity since the fall of man, and you will find the heart of the gospel. God forgives us, and we can walk with the Lord eternally if only we may forgive as well! David is a retired United States Army Chaplain who served 22 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He served Soldiers and their families, as a Pastor Chaplain endorsed by Liberty Baptist Fellowship. He also served 6 years in the Air Force as Jet Technician and 6 years in the Virginia Army Nations Guard as a Staff Specialist. David was raised in the Lutheran Church in Swanton, Ohio. He made a public profession of faith in Christ in 1975 and joined the James Lee Road Baptist Church in Florida. He graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO in 1980. He pastored two churches in Ohio and then went to Liberty University, where he finished a Bachelor of Science in 1985. Continuing his education at Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary where he graduated with a Master of Divinity in 1989.

The Lord whispered, "God Knocks", something I've always referred to as "Divine Appointments". This book of memory devotions focuses on the "God Knocks" that happened in my life. We all experience things throughout our lives; sometimes we don't recognize them for what they are. God is walking before us every day laying out the steps for us to follow. It's up to us what we do with the "God Knocks" He gives us! Sometimes we don't even recognize them. Are you looking at things through God's perspective and are you listening attentively, thinking, "How do I do this? Pick up this Book, "Make a Memory Every Day, God Knocks" Vol. 3. and find out. This is a 3-part series so Look for "Make a Memory Every Day" God's Word Will Change Your Life, Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 "Make a Memory Every Day, God's Word Will Change Your Heart. This book was birthed out of the word "Obedience". I've always believed if you put your heart and soul into something, you would be able to accomplish it. Writing a book has been a goal of mine for a long time. God needed to take me on a journey of experiencing joys and heartaches which has allowed me to have the experiences I've shared through this book. Throughout the journey of writing this Book Series, many times the thoughts have come to me, "Who am I Lord, that I should write these books"? There are people in this world that are more educated and more intelligent who would do a better job at writing these books than myself". "Why me Lord?" And God whispered, "Why not you"? I've learned through this experience that he doesn't call the qualified, he will qualify the called.

For the first time in my life, I had to fight for it. COVID attacked me, my family, and the world. Being a trauma nurse in the emergency department, I often find myself (as do all of my coworkers) meeting people on the worst day of their lives. Now for the first time, I started meeting people during the worst time of mine. This book is written to illustrate how we should be able to fight the devastating effects of this virus together. There is an army that is available to everyone, and every single person can become a part of the army that everyone needs in their life. We can focus this army to support one another, or to tear us apart because someone thinks differently than we do. This is an age-old problem that continues to face us today, something I call "self-righteous indignation." It continues to tear apart our friends, families, and even countries. We need each other's strengths, not each other's opinions. There is a person in that medical bed--someone with a family, friends, and a health care team. They need us. They need support. But so do those who are on the outside looking in. I hope this book offers a glimpse into what it was like to be a care giver who found himself changing from bedside care to needing care from the other side of the bed, and to see how that need extended into my family and friends.

As we witness what is currently taking place in America many people share the feeling that something is very wrong. We seem to be replacing our historical values with some radically different ideas. The voice of the conservative, family oriented, law-abiding, God-fearing population is being drowned out by chaos and a spirit of lawlessness. We don't seem to have answers for most of the problems that are engulfing the nation. It is from this perspective that Craig Nedrow wrote this book; 'You can't handle the truth'. Could it be that the answer to America's problems isn't as difficult as they appear. What if there really is a simple solution? Self-examination can be painful but for positive results sometimes it's needed. 'You can't handle the truth' is a self-examination of America's current condition with an answer that many people don't want to hear or accept. The urgent question is: "IS IT TOO LATE?" Craig Nedrow was raised and still resides in the North Dallas Metroplex. He and his wife Micah own several businesses. Craig is also a conservative radio talk show host in the North Texas area with a program titled 'Stand Up 4 Jesus' that has aired weekly for over 14 years. He is an author and public speaker. BED BUG STEW is two books in one volume! First is a compilation of short story fiction and poetry on a wide range of subject matter: science fiction, messages from the heart, and a little terror thrown in. You will laugh out loud and shed a tear, and you will remember all the characters and their flaws, strengths, motivations, and sometimes the depths of their souls. You will meet a senior citizen who hears other people's thoughts through his hearing aids, a football coach who shuns interviews, a widow who changes her life for one that she loathed, a mason whose soul has been crushed, a man who claims to have been in thousands of movies, and a ballplayer whose best moments were off the field. And many many more... The second book is the author's first person account of his attendance at the New York Yankees Men's Fantasy Camp in January 2023. Yes, it is hilarious. Lies that we tell ourselves, caressing the thought, Deeds that we never do, nor what we ought. It's tempting to tell others what they must do, I see the injustice. These rules are for you. Kevin Horgan served as an infantry officer in the USMC from 1979 - 1984. He tells everyone his service was the great privilege of his life; he was never downrange and he is nothing special. He has authored two US Civil War historical novels, one modern day suspense novel, and has co-authored three illustrated children's books with his sister-in law, Stephanie. Bed Bug Stew is his fourth completed book. Kevin and his wife, Maureen, reside in Georgia.
