A young boy shares an unusual dream with his family. He doesn''t want a puppy, kitten or goldfish as a pet. Instead David, or "D.C." as his big brother nicknamed him wants to adopt a pot-bellied piglet.

Since David is only six years old, his parents try to discourage him. They set goals he must achieve before he can think about seriously searching for a piglet.
