Praxidike and her sister have lived with the royal family of the neighboring kingdom for a year now with no trouble. She is enjoying being courted by a reluctant prince soon to take the throne. One night, however, everything changes when a malicious creature chooses her to be its host, intending to take advantage of her undiscovered magic for its own personal gain.
