"Air and Missile Defense Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield" (ATP 3-01.16) provides detailed techniques for conducting Air and Missile Defense Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB). Conducting Air Missile Defense (AMD) IPB reduces uncertainties regarding terrain, weather, and adversary capabilities and can assist in the development of potential adversary courses of action.
