Explore the beginnings of the Woodes-Hastings family, from the Norman Conquest to the 13th century. It all starts with William Phillip de Hastings, originating from France, who joins the Norman army, conquering and later settling on English shores. His descendant, Roger Alexander Woodes-Hastings, is a pig farmer from the shires. Due to an indiscretion of his father, the family had become outcasts from their home.
