The book begins by revealing that Ana is the new master of Avonlea school, but still continued his studies at home with Gilbert, who teaches at White Sands, a town near Avonlea. Soon we will know the new and problematic neighbor Anna and Marilla, Mr. Harrison and his irritating parrot, as well as the Davy and Dora twins.
