When gangsters like the notorious Merkin brothers pay you to find a missing girl, you don't say no. Rick, an impoverished private detective, is drawn into a world of political intrigues, strange sexual practices and dangerous liaisons where he discovers the Merkins have the political establishment by the balls. Rick finds the girl, but the Merkins still have him on a hook as he struggles to escape from an invitation he couldn't safely refuse.
