It also gives suggestions and information to other races on how to change their mindset regarding their negative treatment and the way they view Black Americans. In 2020 the issues of systemic racism and police brutality against African Americans was brought to the forefront of America in such a manner that was undeniable. The horrific murder of George Floyd, by a Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, ignited a large movement amongst the African American race. The movement was geared towards seeking justice for Mr. Floyd, and other victims that were unjustly murdered by police officers. This movement was also initiated in hopes to enforce new laws that will hold all individuals accountable for their heartless and cruel behaviors of racism against others.
