Between 1835 and 1867 31 people were hanged in public at Kirkdale gaol in Liverpool before crowds ranging from 500 to 100,000. This book details the circumstances behind the 31 murders and gives a brief account of what happened on each execution day. Although Kirkdale gaol was in Liverpool, it carried out judicial hangings for all convicted at the South Lancashire Assizes, which covered Liverpool, Manchester, Warrington, Preston and Blackburn.
Out Bad is a true story about motorcycle outlaws and modern American police. It begins with the painstakingly assembled, never before told story of the murder of a Mongols Motorcycle Club member named Manuel Vincent "Hitman" Martin. Martin was shot off his motorcycle on the Glendale Freeway in Los Angeles about 2 a.m. on October 8, 2008. Initial reports alleged that Martin had been murdered by the Hells Angels and that he died as part of an ongoing, "furious feud" between the two groups. The truth behind the murder is much more interesting and disturbing than that. Martin died on the final day of a three-year-long, undercover investigation of the Mongols by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The ATF called it "Operation Black Rain." Both Black Rain, and the federal prosecution that followed, were so cynically unfair and corrupt that some Mongols still believe that Martin was actually murdered by government agents. Together, the investigation and the prosecution probably cost $150 million. The initial press coverage of the case was manipulated by the ATF. News of the subsequent legal wrangling was virtually non-existent because the Department of Justice wanted to keep the case as secret as possible. Out Bad, draws on numerous public and confidential sources including numerous sources within the Mongols, the Hells Angels and the ATF to accurately reveal what really happened. Out Bad is a startling ride down a dark road nobody yet knows. Here's your ticket. Climb on. There ain't no seatbelt.

Hunting the Hunter (The Delphi Double Murder Case) By Harvey Carroll, Jr. I'm a former U.S. Army Military Policeman/Investigator, whom has seen shocking drug related deaths, and investigators bloody shot-out brains laying on their car seats... I now hold Bachelors of Business Administration Degree specializing in Real Estate and Finance, and three partial Masters in Business, Public Administration as well as Diplomacy and International Commerce... I've been considered the most influential international political figure in Kentucky-US, and some would say that perhaps in the World at one time. I have dealt with Governors, Senators, Presidents and Foreign Heads of State; and in the process I have saved millions of lives, and affected the economic fate of nations... Yet, I have made mistakes, and even cost lives, and often ponder if the "End Justified the Means" and has led to a bit of PTSD... I learned to eat stress for breakfast, but Cancer slowed me down considerably... I was advised to avoid stress by my Doctors/Surgeons; but instead I immersed myself into thousands and thousands of hours of extremely obsessive and intense investigative research... Obsessive to the point that matches the sadistic killer's in-order to try and stop his future thirst for children's blood... Sadly, getting into the minds of Killers is nothing new for me. Granted serial killers kill a few; while, Dictators and bad leaders kill multitudes... Getting into their minds is very dark... Especially, when you can anticipate what someone like Saddam Hussein will say months before he says it... That's exactly what I did when I tried to prevent the 1st Gulf War, but led to me helping plan and organize the 100 hour war instead (4 days, 4 hours) no dilly dallying around in the desert for a decade and a half squandering trillions... I might have also found the OBL Currier network, but someone else is spending the 10 million reward, it sure isn't me... I've spent much of my life getting into the sadistic sick minds, and dealing with the "Dumbassity of Dictators" (Noriega, Saddam, various War Lords, Gadhafi, alAssad, OBL and other Terrorist, and now a possible Serial Killer). Helping to take down Evil Dictators, has somewhat become my trademark over the years, and I hope that it is just as rewarding as a criminal prosecutor taking a sadistic killer off the streets. In many ways Dictators have many of the same characteristics; however, murderers work in the shadows far better, while Dictators openly display their sadistic abuse from their strong arm rule... Harvey Carroll, Jr.

Born with two strikes against him, as a black man in the U.S., Terence Jackson (Aadheen Aabzari) knows the odds of success favors him, but he is unhappy with the injustice often meted out to blacks in the U.S., and the spate of daily slayings of his fellow black people, by trigger happy, murderous cops, in the streets of America. In an attempt to escape getting killed by police, or incarcerated as a scapegoat for a white man's crime, in the U.S., Terence (Aadheen) decided to search for his ancestral root and lineage, and found a match! His ancestry DNA revealed his ancestors came from Somalia! He felt compelled to find his root, and embarked on a dangerous sojourn to find his bloodline in the hinterland of his ancestors, and found help in an unlikely source, in an imam, an uncle of an attractive classmate, Aamiina. But those he trusted to help him find his root, had a different agenda, for helping him. He would find himself in a new pathway of jihadism, terrorism, and mayhem, that would either define his essence, or lead him into uncharted territories, that he was unprepared for, but willing to embrace. Set to make the trip to the heartland of Islam, where the population is 98.9% Muslims, he would begin to discover more than he bargained for, and anticipated. Unbeknownst to him he was being recruited for jihad, he soon found solace in a religion, and cause, he barely knew anything about. Recognizing his limbo, he must reconcile his conflicting quests, and divided objective. For Terence (Aadheen), it was either jihad or the fulfillment of his long sought significance. But with the FBI, CIA, Mossad, M16, and Interpol, tailing him, the quest for significance took a new turn. Now he must fight for survival, rather than for Allah, or both!

The original Pastore report w/citations was penned before we all had witnessed horrific consequences for first-responders and NY families, which by 2008 resulted in their filing 10,000 lawsuits against the City of New York--thousands of unnecessary deaths and untold misery from consumptive and chronic diseases caused by the 911-Day-From-Hell because investors wanted their money back on the WTC investment-gone-wrong,
This is the story of George, an African American who grew up in a Caucasian suburb of Seattle, where his unaffectionate mother and racial isolation led him to develop an effervescent personality in order to get along. He became a small-time burglar and an accomplished liar--a wisecracking "smoothy" who pretended to be an undercover detective. George made lots of friends, especially within a subculture of giggly young white women who partied endlessly in upscale Seattle clubs during 1989-90. And he murdered three of them, bizarrely mutilating and "staging" their bodies. The drinks, dancing, and deejays--the group pad where George lived with an adoring coterie of feckless college kids--Olsen gives us the quirky details that make the murderer's well-hidden rage and misogyny all the more shocking. As the New York Times wrote, "Like fine cinema verité, [Charmer] mesmerizes us with the sense of watching real life, unaugmented, move before our eyes."

In this compelling true-crime story, journalist and author David Yonke presents and analyzes the only case in U.S. history in which a Roman Catholic priest was arrested for the murder of a nun. Father Gerald Robinson of Toledo, whom friends and associates described as a timid and mild-mannered man, was arrested by cold-case detectives in April, 2004, and charged in the brutal slaying of Sister Margaret Ann Pahl 24 years earlier. The 71-year-old nun had been choked to the edge of death, covered with an altar cloth, and stabbed 31 times in the face, neck and chest. Her body was found in the sacristy of a Catholic hospital, her habit pulled up to her chest and her undergarments around her ankles. It was Holy Saturday morning, 1980, the day before Easter and the day before the victim's 72nd birthday. Cold-case investigators said the first nine stab wounds, made over the nun's heart, were in the shape of an upside down cross, one of many signs that Sister Margaret Ann was the victim of a ritual killing. "Sin, Shame & Secrets" unveils how cold-case investigators decided to reopen the case in 2003 after a Toledo nun testified that Father Robinson abused her in satanic rituals when she was a child. The nun's testimony before the Toledo Catholic Diocese's Review Board also alleged that a number of children had been killed by the cult.A lengthy police investigation followed, resulting in Robinson's arrest at age 66 on April 23, 2004. After a three-week trial, covered gavel-to-gavel by Court TV (now truTV), the priest was convicted of murder on May 11, 2006 and sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.* * *Yonke, the award-winning former Religion Editor and reporter at The Toledo Blade, reviewed hundreds of police files, interviewed dozens of principles, and covered every minute of the trial to give readers a thorough and examined look at events as they unfolded, as well as providing background information for the story and the people involved.* * *In Robinson's legal appeals, the killer priest claimed that his trial attorneys failed to examine the possibility that another hospital chaplain - one with a drinking problem, a bad temper, and a knife collection - may have been the real murderer. Robinson also alleged that Coral Eugene Watts, a confessed serial killer who strangled and stabbed up to 80 women, was living an hour north of Toledo in 1980 and may have been the perpetrator. The story has been covered by news media around the world and featured on many nationally broadcast television programs.Although Robinson's appeals were denied by the Ohio Supreme Court and the U.S. Supreme Court, public debate and controversy continue to swirl in this timeless and controversial case. * * *Nancy Grace of CNN and truTV commented: "Very rarely does a single incident grip the public conscience. The brutal and sacrilegious murder of a true innocent, Sister Margaret Ann Pahl, does just that. Carefully detailing her murder, Yonke describes not only the search for a killer, but the struggle for all of us including both the Toledo police and the Catholic Church, to accept that evil exists everywhere around us, even within the house of God."Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Michael Sallah called it "a murder case for the ages," adding that "Yonke deftly shows how an American Catholic diocese kept one of its own from being charged for more than a quarter century."Father Thomas Doyle, JCD, CADC, commented: "This is not just another murder mystery. It is a true story that enrages, mystifies and terrifies any reader with even a modicum of moral awareness."Barbara Blaine, founder of SNAP, said: "Through painstaking research and gripping narrative, David Yonke presents and analyzes a stunning case of physical, emotional, and sexual pain and the political corruption that kept a horrific crime unsolved for years."
