Kappiya's English Grammar-1This book encloses idioms, phrases and clauses and the explanations for the idioms and phrases categorized with examples and exercises.
The aim of this course is for students to practise and improve their speaking, listening, and pronunciation skills. Along the way the student will learn plenty of new vocabulary - including non-literal English expressions, such as idioms, phrasal verbs, and slang - and also practise reading, writing, and grammar skills, e.g. verb forms, word order, parts of a sentence, and so on. This book provides an organised sequence of learning activities for students at intermediate level (CEF B2). We believe that there is easily enough material here for a 90-minute lesson. Of course, how long the material lasts will depend on a variety of factors, such as the level of your students, and how familiar they are with these techniques. If you used any or all of the extension activities, you could make the material last much longer. Although many of the activities in this book can be used without having previously studied.

This volume presents a variety of concepts, practices, and experiences in the field of content learning through the additional Language(s) of learners in a migration society. It contains reflections on the complex interplay between the unifying characteristics of monolingual and multilingual programmes and their often diverging, local, and contextual interpretations and implementations. In addition, it describes how migration pedagogy has become a catalyst for discussing the ideological and power aspects of Language learning and how a hegemony-critical attitude needs to become an integral part of classroom Language learning and communicating. In this context, the deliberate development of Teachers' Awareness of Language Knowledge (TALK) through a variety of supportive Measures is considered to be of central pedagogical importance. Principles and practical applications of TALK for the classroom are discussed and evaluated.

Over the past decade, interest in language teacher education and professionalization programs has increased significantly mainly due to global educational reforms, which have been driven by internationalization, multilingualism, the rise of new literacy and the incorporation of technologies. These reforms, based on the challenges of knowledge societies and networks, have created the need to re-evaluate and reconceptualize teacher training and teacher professional development as a "fundamental connection to teaching" (Bryant et al., 2008; Vélaz de Medrano & Vaillant, 2009; Espinosa, 2012; Johnson and Golombeck, 2018). The main objective is, then, to "prepare the new generations within an increasingly uncertain and demanding global scenario" (Pérez Ruíz, 2014, p 114). This publication addresses work on the education of language teachers in a variety of sociocultural, educational and institutional contexts carried out in Mexico and Latin America with various methodological designs and approaches from different theoretical perspectives. Therefore, in the context of current challenges, we seek to promote the exchange, discussions of experience and results of research and reflection that can influence the direction and implementation of language policies regarding teacher education and teacher professionalization for language teaching.
"Do You Make These Mistakes in English?"Sherwin Cody was an American writer and entrepreneur who developed a long-running home-study course in speaking and writing with an advertisement with this title.A critic of traditional English education, Cody advocated colloquial style and grammar. He asked: What is the reason so many of us are deficient in the use of English and find our careers stunted in consequence? Why is it some cannot spell correctly and others cannot punctuate? Why do so many find themselves at a loss for words to express their meaning adequately? The reason for the deficiency is clear:Most persons do not write or speak good English simply because they never formed the habit of doing so.Most persons use only common words -- colorless, flat, ordinary. Their speech and their letters are lifeless, monotonous, humdrum. If there is a subject of really universal interest and utility, it is the art of writing and speaking one's own language effectively. It is the basis of culture, as we all know; but it is infinitely more than that: it is the basis of business. No salesman can sell anything unless he can explain the merits of his goods in effective English (among our people), or can write an advertisement equally effective, or present his ideas, and the facts, in a letter.
