I decided to do extensive research and put a trivia book together so other people could learn about things they might not know about. This book explores 'why some people experience post-traumatic growth leading to greater wisdom and others do not' and suggests that a critical variable is how one copes with that trauma: individuals who actively reflect on their experiences of trauma should develop higher levels of self-transcendent wisdom. This same dynamic has been shown both in research studies of post-traumatic growth and by therapists working with people who have experienced trauma, but these two bodies of work have rarely been brought into direct conversation with each other. In this volume, wisdom researchers and therapists with direct experience with trauma survivors comment on each other's ideas about how coping with adversity can lead to wisdom, and how their proposed models of developing wisdom incorporate the act of coping with a stressful or traumatic event. Based on a synthetic integration of the recommendations in each chapter, the book concludes with the introduction of a new conceptual framework that can better help even individuals who experience significant stressors in their life to cope well and develop wisdom that will be both theoretically robust and practically useful.

The Canadian Presbyterian Mission had a consuming passion to develop a skilled-native East Indian Church in British Guiana. Higher education goals thus became a foundation to its policy. With the establishment of institutions for training its workers, there was great hope for success. To attain its objectives, the Mission needed a competent staff and sufficient students. Financial and other factors impeded progress. When the Indian Church finally emerged in 1945, the results were satisfactory, despite the herculean efforts of missionaries and local leaders. Rev. Dr. Simon D. Mangru is pastor of the North Miami Beach Church of the Nazarene. He earned an MA (History) at the University of Guyana, an MS (TESOL) at Florida International University, and a PhD (Church History) from the International University. He was a lecturer at the University of Guyana and an Adjunct Professor at MDC. Simon and his wife, Ruth, have been married for 56 years. They have a daughter, Karen- husband, Santos & son Gabriel; their son, Ted, was promoted to heaven in February 2022, leaving a rich legacy to the 3 children -Lisa, Jonathan, & David.

Transformation, Dialog, Verschränkung oder Relationierung belegt. Bereits auf der Ebene der Begriffsverwendung wird die Verhältnishaftigkeit wissenschaftlicher Weitebildung sichtbar. Obgleich mit der Semantik ein relationales Denken zum Ausdruck gebracht wird, bleibt eine explizite Thematisierung eines solchen Relationsdenkens bislang aus. Somit bleiben die jeweiligen Hintergrundannahmen, vor denen die Verhältniszuschreibungen vorgenommen werden, ungeklärt. Erst die konzeptuelle Durchmusterung der relationstheoretisch bislang ungeklärten Verhältnisse wissenschaftlicher Weiterbildung ermöglicht es, für die Theoriebildung wissenschaftlicher Weiterbildung weiterführende Beiträge zu ihrer besonderen Positionierung im engeren und zur Frage der Gegenstandskonstitution wissenschaftlicher Weiterbildung im weiteren Sinne einen Beitrag zu leisten.
