På trods af islams modstand mod afbildning af mennesker har menneskefiguren altid spillet en vigtig rolle, og især inden for miniaturemaleriet har motivet en lang og rig tradition. The Treasure of Dua ¿¿¿¿We have been taught by Rasulullah( PBUH ) to recite duas at different occasions of our life. In this manner our entire day passes in the remembrance of Allah Ta'ala. It is mentioned in the Hadith that Rasulullah( PBUH ) used to remember Allah Ta'ala at all times. Manzil prayers are a collection of verses and short Surahs taken from the Quran which are practiced as a remedy for protection and antidote. The manzil prayer may be used for protection from several factors which include ruqya from black magic, jinn, witchcraft, sihr, sorcery, evil eye and so forth. It gives a person protection from various other harmful and evil forces. The manzil prayer is endorsed to be perused one or three times in one sitting. This has to be performed more than one time. How do U.S. American Muslim mothers describe and discuss their identities as mothers, wives, and Muslims? How do they conceptualize their relationships with their children, husbands, and other family members? Often, discussions of motherhood within the mainstream Muslim community do not center on actual mothers¿ perspectives. This study, undertaken by a Muslim woman researcher, foregrounds the lived experiences of Muslim mothers to explore their communicative experiences of identity.The findings of this study are based on interviews with nine U.S.-based Muslim women who shared detailed thoughts about what Islamic scripture says about motherhood, the role of culture, the rights and obligations of different family members, and details about their day-to-day lives. Rumi (1207-1273) was a Persian jurist and theologian best known widely translated and remains especially popular in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan. Though written from a Sufi perspective, Rumi's poems on spiritual growth - here collected and edited by F. Hadland Davis and first published in 1907 -cross all cultural and religious bounds, and can still be heard today in many secular and religious settings.

The collection of essays that make up the study engages these important and difficult questions from the perspectives of two different types of scholarship: fiqh and social science. While fiqh practitioners work with the source texts to derive new interpretations, to authorise rethinking, and thereby to create spaces of possibility for practices to change, social scientists study practices of Islam. The contributors to this volume examine challenges to fiqh posed by the contemporary by critically analysing the practices and resources available to Muslims in a range of national and historical contexts. These critical approaches will enable a wide readership to understand how Muslims engage with the assumptions and epistemologies that underpin marriage and relationships in contemporary Islamic contexts.

منذ أنْ أعلنَ الفاطميّون عن قيام دولتهم الجديدة في إِفْرِيقِيّة (تونس) في أواخر القرن الثالث الهجري/التاسع الميلادي، رأوا في إقْلِيمَي طَرابلس الغَرب وبَرقة (ليبيا) أهمية كبيرة لمشروعهم العَسكري والسّياسي والْمَذهَبيّ في العالم الإسلامي شَرقِهِ وغَربِهِ. حيث كانت طرابلس استراتيجيًّا هي بوابة الدخول لإِفْرِيقِيَّة وبلاد المغرب الإسلامي كُلُّه لأولئك القادمين من المشرق، في حين كانت بَرقة جُغرافيًّا هي بوابة الدخول لِمِصْر وبقية بُلدان المشرق الإسلامي لأولئك القادمين من المغرب. فكانا يمثلان العصب الحيوي الذي يربط ما بين المشرق والمغرب، والجسر الأرضي الوحيد الآمن لتحقيق أحلام الفاطميين السياسية وأمانيهم الواسعة في التَّوَسُّع ومَدِّ سيطرتهم على كل أقاليم العالم الإسلامي، ومحاولتهم نشر مذهبهم الشيعي فيها. فكان نجاحُ مشروع الفاطميين في المنطقة متوقفًا على السيطرة على الإقليمين والمحافظة على استتباب الأمور فيهما. وهذا ما عمل الفاطميُّون على تحقيقه بمجرد قيام دولتهم الناشئة في إِفْرِيقِيَّة. وتحت حكم الفاطميين وسيطرتهم شهدت أرض طَرابلس وبَرقة وسُكّانِهِمَا زَخَمًا جديداً في الحياة السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية، جاء كونه مواكباً لمتطلبات الدولة الجديدة وتطلعاتها الواسعة، تجسيداً حَقيقيًّا لاندماج السياسة مع الأرض والناس، وتفاعلها مع البيئة المحيطة والمجاورة.
