Milo, a curious bunny, comes across a leaf that awakens a lot of concerns in him. What follows is a comparison between the life cycle of people--and bunnies--and nature according to the seasons of the year, explained from a tender conversation between mother and son. The story is accompanied by a teaching guide with activities for the classroom or as a family, and guidelines to make the little ones in the house reflect on the passage of time and the natural cycle of life and death, encouraging them to express their concerns and helping them to manage their emotions. The teaching guide, accessible through a QR code, is focused on early childhood education, with suggestions for activities to do with children. This material, which will help to get the most out of the story, is versatile and can also be used with other ages by adapting or expanding the activities. Andrea Moreno was born in Barcelona, Spain. She completed a master's degree in early childhood education at the University of Barcelona with a specific focus on diversity. Juan Carlos Varela was born in Medellín, Colombia. He studied graphic design and completed a master's degree in digital illustration. +

Father Gabriel of St. Mary Magdalen, O.C.D. (1893-1953), was a Discalced Carmelite priest, confessor and spiritual director. He was an expert in the writings of venerated Carmelite Mystics such as St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross. For the last decade of his life Fr. Gabriel was the spiritual director for the Discalced Carmelite nuns of the Monastery of St. Joseph in Rome. It was with their assistance that he compiled his writings and mystical insight, arranging his material to correspond with the liturgical year, while following the ascent of the soul to transforming union with God.Originally published in 1949, this work was intended to serve as an introduction to a more comprehensive study of the works of St. Teresa. According to the author, St. Teresa's books, written rapidly and sometimes without a fixed plan, do not easily reveal the inner structure of her thought to the reader. This book serves to guide the reader to reveal the inner structure of her thought and to weave the various themes she touches upon into a more comprehensive narrative. It takes the reader through the several threads in St. Teresa's work to present the Tapestry more fully.

The 2024 edition of the Sahaja Yoga Songbook contains more than two hundred of the most commonly sung bhajans (in the experience of the editors) with diacritics and guitar chords for most of the songs. The book includes Sanskrit, Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Urdu, English, Italian and Spanish songs.
Does our worship mean anything? What is the ultimate purpose of our songs? The songs we sing in church or listen to were never meant to be a substitute for our worship; they were meant to enhance it. It's time to regain our voices; it's time to push through the outer court and reclaim the high places-the altars-where true worship happens.Jesus longs to fulfill the lyrics of the songs we sing. But how do we move from words to action-to true experience? How does worship ripple through our communities, touching those who stand outside our realms, unacquainted with the resonance of conferences, concerts, and church services? When and how will they feel the presence of Jesus, the Healer, the Deliverer, the Transformer? In the coming days, weeks, months, and years, the church may look different. Churches today are afforded the freedom and luxury of grand stages, but tomorrow we may traverse from grand stages to hidden home sanctuaries. Yet, one truth remains unwavering: our sacred obligation to worship, no matter the backdrop.Whether you are a worship pastor, worship leader, or worshipper, this book was designed to kindle the flames of intimate worship moments for all Christians, no matter their position, talent or skill set. It beckons you to reflect on the gravity carried by the role we call "worship leader." As you journey through these pages, you will not only be enlightened, but also inspired to venture deeper into the sacred realm of worship.

Livet er et magisk eventyr. H.C.
Discover a rich legacy of audacious women who forged a spirituality that is more inclusive, surprising, and empowering than we ever imagined.“The feminist reading of women mystics I’ve wanted for ages . . . invites us into the hopeful possibility for communal healing that we desperately need right now.”—Sarah Bessey, bestselling author of Field Notes for the Wilderness and Jesus FeministIs there a Christian spirituality that embraces the entire reality of womanhood? The answer, Shannon K. Evans suggests, is an emphatic yes. There is a spirituality that meets us in every part of our lives, developed by the women who came before us. Six mystics—Teresa of Ávila, Margery Kempe, Hildegard of Bingen, Julian of Norwich, Catherine of Siena, and Thérèse of Lisieux—revealed a faith big enough to hold the female experiences of sex and desire, the yearning for bodily autonomy, the challenges of motherhood and identity, as well as life with male authority and—sometimes—violence. These women, self-determining, stubborn, and unapologetically themselves, asked questions in their time that are startlingly prescient today, and fought for women’s experiences to be heard, understood, respected, and recognized as holy.In The Mystics Would Like a Word, readers will discover the story of Christian faith and spirituality as told by these extraordinary and wise women, one that speaks directly to today’s unique experiences, and leads to wholeness, healing, and spiritual vitality.
Meditations for Mortals takes us on a liberating journey towards a more meaningful life - one that begins not with fantasies of the ideal existence, but with the reality in which we actually find ourselves.Addressing the fundamental questions about how to live, it offers a powerful new way to take action on what counts: a guiding philosophy of life Oliver Burkeman calls 'imperfectionism'. How can we embrace our non-negotiable limitations? Or make good decisions when there's always too much to do? What if purposeful productivity were often about letting things happen, not making them happen?Reflecting on ideas drawn from philosophy, religion, literature, psychology, and self-help, Burkeman explores practical tools and shifts in perspective. The result is a bracing challenge to much familiar advice, and a profound yet entertaining crash course in living more fully. To be read either as a four-week 'retreat of the mind' or devoured in one or two sittings, Meditations for Mortals will be a source of solace and inspiration, and an aid to a saner, freer, and more enchantment-filled life. In anxiety-inducing times, it is rich in truths we have never needed more.

The great majority of people who call themselves Christians, Moslems and Jews really do not believe in their religion. The pseudo-solution that most people adopt is to either shut up or quit the church and renounce God.Rejoice in your disillusionment! To all of those people who are disillusioned with their traditional, conventional religion, we say to them, "Rejoice!" You are closer to God than those who have tried to inculcate in you the old tradition.Open yourself to who God really is and consider what the meaning of your life is supposed to be.Consider the following points: (1) God wants you to be happy. (2) He is not interested in your saying Jesus or Adonai or whatever other little superstitions that were developed and adhered to by your religion of origin. If He were to want this, it would constitute an ego trip which is reminiscent of the devil a lot more than of God. Think about it. Wouldn't you say so?

'A Simpler Path' springs from the belief that organised religion, particularly that of Christianity, has become over- complicated and burdened by theology and doctrine which actually hinder our spiritual growth. As a solution to this problem, two alternatives are offered. The first is to be found in the writings of the Fourteenth Century mystic, Dame Julian of Norwich; the second, in the Second Century "Meditations " of Marcus Aurelius. Though springing from different sources, I believe that both these alternatives chart a simpler path to self- enlightenment and may be of some help in achieving this goal. A retired history teacher, David Conduct now lives in Durham where he taught for over 20 years. When not writing, he can be found busking from home @ durham-busker on Twitter and YouTube.
