Global Youth Culture is a powerful look at how to reach the next generation for Jesus across the globe. It is a call for the millennial generation to join the worldwide missions force to reach their peers. The Global Youth Culture represents the predominant and mainstream culture of young people in every city around the world. To reach them and challenge such a predominant and opposing mindset in our society today, we desperately need God's power.Following the journey of missionary and musician Luke Greenwood, the stories in Global Youth Culture demonstrate the gospel at work in some of the most unlikely places. Working with Steiger International, Greenwood has witnessed to young people in clubs in Russia, hostile crowds in Zurich, nominal Muslims in Turkey, transgender prostitutes in São Paulo and more. From the perspective of frontline missionary involvement, Greenwood describes the spiritual need of the global generation and the challenges this brings to missions today. Through his many stories, of street evangelism, Greenwood offers a combination of social analysis and insight, apologetical and biblical teaching, and examples of missionary models that work. Global Youth Culture draws from and quotes the works of Francis Schaeffer, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Timothy Keller, Zygmunt Bauman, James W. Sire, Terry Eagleton and others. In the gritty stories of frontline missionary work you see Greenwood's courage and faithfulness bear fruit as hardened youth find hope in Jesus. Greenwood draws from Lindsay Olesberg's The Bible Study Handbook to provide discipleship tools and equip the reader to take evangelism to the next level-from witness to relationship. Complete with an appendix on how to have a Bible study to examples of Bible studies, Global Youth Culture will inspire and motivate you to reach the global youth and equip them to overcome the world. Luke Greenwood grew up the son of British missionaries to Brazil, and currently lives in Wroclaw, Poland, with his wife Ania and their two children. Luke serves as the European Director for Steiger, a mission organisation dedicated to reaching and discipling the Global Youth Culture for Jesus. Having worked with the mission for 17 years in places like London and São Paulo, in more recent years Luke has helped establish Steiger teams in Poland, Germany, Finland, Portugal, Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia. His vision is to see Jesus proclaimed to young people all over the European continent. Luke teaches at the Steiger Mission School on the topics of Evangelism and Discipleship in the Global Youth Culture and travels the globe to speak on missions, challenging people to live a radical faith and courageously engage the Global Youth Culture with the gospel.

This book argues for a positive, biblically rigorous vision of the local church's (and the individual Christian's) weighty responsibility to do good to all people as they have the opportunity, as well as the continuing priority of the local church's mission of verbal proclamation to those beyond the New Covenant community. Endorsements"This is an engaging book about the work of missions and raises the important questions about good deeds and lasting fruit."-Owen Anderson, Professor of Philosophy and Religious Studies, Arizona State University"As evangelicals we need to think clearly about cultural and political realities and how they relate to the gospel, to the kingdom, and to evangelism. John Wind has thought carefully and deeply about these matters, and in this clearly written work he points a way forward that should be considered by all."-Thomas R. Schreiner, James Buchanan Harrison Professor of New Testament Interpretation, Associate Dean, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary"Verbal proclamation and social action: which is more important in the church's mission? In his book Do Good to All People as You Have the Opportunity, John Wind helpfully surveys a very important debate in the church and creatively shows how they fit together. He also gives us a timely admonition to use our words carefully lest we dilute the gospel."-Donald W. Sweeting, President, Colorado Christian University "John Wind has taken up a controversial subject with a host of practical implications for the life of the church. . . . This work will be a blessing to the church as it pursues the mission Christ has given it."-David Vandrunen, Robert B. Strimple Professor of Systematic Theology and Christian Ethics, Westminster Seminary California

What would it look like if your church really took the last words of Jesus seriously? The Great Commission was not just a suggestion by our Lord, but an imperative mandate given to his followers. Missionary sending agencies are deploying workers to the field, but many of them come from disengaged churches that are not producing well-equipped disciples. We need a fully integrated global supply chain-a pipeline-that has disciples as the precious commodity, as well as an effective infrastructure to distribute and replicate them around the globe. Pipeline seeks to re-engage the church in mobilizing the next generation of workers for the harvest. This is a collaboration of forty different authors from churches, agencies, and cross-cultural servants. As people in distant places wait for a messenger of hope and salvation, will your church venture into the pipeline?

We love to share good news with the world-a great restaurant, a coveted promotion, a new baby-and that makes us evangelists for many things. So why don't we do the same with Jesus? Simply put, talking about Jesus is awkward. Yet when we brave the awkwardness, we see God work. Beau Crosetto helps us move out of our comfort zones and beyond the awkwardness to share the life-transforming power of God with others.

There are ten important questions everyone should ask; and the answers to these questions, which lead to ultimate truth, are a matter of reason, not of faith.Well-known Catholic philosopher and writer Peter Kreeft tackles each of these questions in a logical step-by-step way, like climbing the rungs of a ladder. Because questions are best answered by dialogue, Kreeft answers these fundamental questions in an imaginary conversation between two very different people who meet at the beach.Kreeft's characters begin at the beginning, at the bottom of the ladder, which is the passion for truth. When it comes to the most important questions a person can ask, no mere interest in philosophical dabbling will do. The passion for truth does not stop there, however, but carries the reader from one page to the next in this thought-provoking adventure of the mind.

In 1938 the Reverend Henry H. Riggs wrote ""Shall We Try Unbeaten Paths in Working for Moslems?"" He encouraged the church to help Muslim converts remain inside Islam so that they might not lose their cultural identity. These ideas were soundly denounced by leading missionary scholars of the time: Samuel Zwemer, J. Christy Wilson, and Hendrik Kraemer. In the 1980s Riggs's suggestions bubbled up to the surface with new life in Bangladesh, but the proponents of these views--known as the insider movements (IM)--maintained a low profile. The church did not know what was taking place in Bangladesh until the 1990s when anonymous authors published papers with made-up locations reporting hundreds of thousands of new believers.Today, proponents of IM support their observations of what God is doing among Muslims with eight biblical passages. If the biblical support is real, it behooves you to support missionaries who advocate for IM; but if the biblical evidence is absent, you will have a difficult decision to make. The purpose of this book is help clarify the insider movements' claims and paradigm by simply examining the Scriptures.

Outreach Magazine Resource of the YearSometimes we get so caught up in the power of Jesus shouting from the cross, "It is finished!" that we forget that Jesus started something. What Jesus started was a movement that began small, with intimate conversations designed to build disciples into apostles who would go out in the world and seed it with God's kingdom vision. That movement grew rapidly and spread wide as people recognized the truth in it and gave their lives to the power of it. That movement is still happening today, and we are called to play our part in it.
