This book elucidates the factor that enhances women empowerment through English language learning. Empowerment is observed to assist people with low status increasing the power and influence to enhance prosperity, prestige, and dignity. Although various mechanisms foster women empowerment, our research demonstrated the specific phenomenon of the English language learning whether it contributes to empowering the women as a whole as English proficiency has a prolific impact or constraint to women empowerment because of a large number of women failing to succeed in the workplace due to lack of competence. Besides this, several studies argued that the English could be the constraints to women empowerment as it is viewed as ¿killer Language.¿ It is to be claimed that the English language could be the intimidation to their mother langue that might lose their language if the concentrate on English language learning. Surprisingly it is even viewed at the colonial aspects of English learning in a negative way which could overwhelm local language instead of promoting women empowerment.

The students are spoon fed throughout school and they constantly attend classes, extra classes, tests and tuition to learn the same concepts day in day out and finally vomit everything on the day of final exam. Some of the students are pushed into courses which they don¿t prefer and it makes them rather depressed. Students lose interest and forget the actual purpose of going to Schools and tend to become lethargic and uninterested. Whether they admit it or not, most students will at one point get homesick, especially those who attend a school that is more than three hours away from home.
With an increasing demand of globally minded graduates, colleges and universities are trying to internationalize their campuses with increasing number of international students, expecting global engagement on campus. However, the opportunity for American students to engage with the world through their international peers is largely untapped due to lack of meaningful engagement opportunities. This constructivist study explores American undergraduate students¿ experiences of interactions with their international peers on campus. Based on 10 in-depth interviews and 3 focus group transcripts (N=25), a model of undergraduate students¿ on-campus global engagement experience is created using grounded theory. Interview and focus group participants were selected from the respondent pool of a screener survey sent to 2,000 students randomly selected from ~32,000 American undergraduate students. From the stories of U.S. students about their interactions with international peers vis-àvis their beliefs, attitudes, and perceptions, the study identifies headbumps (roadblocks) and headways (pathways), the elements that motivate or demotivate cross-national interactions on campus.
This book is a kind of research. It is about the analysis of the tasks in the textbook. The data source of this analysis is the tasks from the English Textbook entitled "When English Rings A Bell¿. The tasks are analyzed by the theory of communicative competence by Celce-Murcia et al. The writer describes that there are four components of communicative competence. The English tasks found in the textbook that are designed to develop students¿ linguistic competence are writing or creating sentences, paragraph, the journal, invitation card, greeting card, neat and accurate handwriting using the punctuation marks and spelling of the word correctly. The tasks that develop students¿ sociocultural competence are writing the dialogues by using polite words, saying the speakers sentences correctly and clearly. The tasks that develop students¿ actional competence are playing the roles about making introduction, accepting and declining invitation, daily activities, giving information, describing, and explaining. The tasks that develop students¿ discourse competence are writing down the short texts, talking about the story and writing down the expressions to complete the dialogue.

South African high schools typically utilise a sex-segregated approach to sports teams and, therefore, have ¿boys¿ sports teams and ¿girls¿ sport teams. This approach is complicated by the increasing number of high school learners who openly identify as transgender. School policies must be consistent with Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act (PEPUDA) in order to be legally compliant. Subsequently, I argue that both partially and fully inclusive policies are lawful. As both these policies are lawful, a choice must be made regarding which set of policies to adopt. When making this choice, a school must consider which values it seeks to promote. On the one hand, there is the imperative to acknowledge the dignity of trans learners while, on the other hand, there are legitimate concerns about the fairness of competition. As dignity is both a right that is granted by the Constitution, and one of its the founding values, I argue that fully inclusive policies should be favored as they result in the validation of trans learners¿ dignity.

The purpose of this book was to assess leadership perceptions in the Catholic Church. Although perpetuating the priesthood is the cornerstone of sustaining the leadership of the church, there is concern over the current trend in joining the priesthood. The number of individuals willing to become priests is declining. To evaluate this phenomenon, the study employed research questions that sought to compare older and younger priests. The study findings from the chi-square and ANOVA indicated that there was no significant difference in the most preferred leadership styles between young and older priests. The Facilitative method of leadership was the most desirable leadership style by both groups of priests. Also, the outcomes of the research found that the number of years spent in service does not influence a priest¿s choice of leadership style.

Based on the vacuum that exists in books on this topic within this context, the book can be used as a pioneer source that presents chronological, systematic and analytical knowledge on leadership and teachers¿ motivation in Cameroonian secondary/high schools. The book consists of five chapters, each of which presents specific information on educational leadership and/or motivation which add up to provide a systematic overview of the topic. Chapter One presents the background of the study. Chapter Two presents literature review on concepts and theories. Chapter Three presents the research methodology. Chapter Four presents the findings. Lastly, Chapter Five presents the conclusion, recommendations, suggestions for further research, limitations and implications of the study. Conclusively, the book indicates that principals as heads of secondary/high schools are obliged to lead from a nexus of web of leadership roles to ensure teachers¿ motivation.
