A hexagram consists of 6 lines or 6 stages in the unfoldment of the archetype. Both the archetypes and their paths are seen form the perspective of Human Design. Each of the 64 hexagrams are described with three short poems in the haiku tradition. These poems are Holthe's outlook on the human archetypes, and to supplement his view four quotes of people from different times and places have been selected to illustrate each of the hexagrams. May this collection of quotes awaken your interest for this treasure of wisdom from China. 160 pages, 4th edition. January 2020.

--The I Ching divination figures the answers to your question by following the rules of nature.--There must be a tracable track for all the things that happened around you. The I Ching divination could identify this andsignal you the unfolding new tracks lying ahead.>The I Ching, also called Book of Changes, is the most comprehensive and oldest oracle originated in ancient China. The I Ching (consists of 64 Hexagrams) signifies all situations and behaviors relating to nature and humans. The I Ching system is the integration of cosmology, philosophy, mathematics, symbolism and divination. It stresses the point of balance of opposites; indicates the changeable and the unchangeable which is that things change inevitably as times and conditions change while the laws of nature never change. Binary Number, the modern computer language, was invented by Gottfried Leibniz in 1679. Leibniz was deeply inspired by the I Ching. He recognized and wrote that his original concept of Binary System (using only the digit 0 and 1 throughout the computation) was corresponded to the I Ching's Trigram (binary number from 000 to 111) thus the Hexagrams (Gua). Yin (0) and Yang (1) are the basic binary configuration of the I Ching symbols. Furthermore, DNA (the hereditary material of all life) Genetic Code, which consists of 64-Triplet of nucleotides, is exactly analogous to the 64-Triplet System of the I Ching. Isn't that miraculous? Besides the above stated values, the philosophical and symbolic structures of the I Ching are also infinitely valued. The I Ching originally contains a system of divination. However the Numerology of I Ching, which was derived thousands of years later, significantly enriches the I Ching divinatory methods. It adds values of numeric, time, symbolism and the Five Elements (mutual generation and restriction between Metal, Fire, Water, Wood and Earth) to the original I Ching divination system, makes it simple to learn; swift to be used and miraculous the results. This book will focus on introducing this numerological way of divination. In order to allow beginners to straightforwardly understand this numerology in a short time, this book employs plenty of graphical images and charts to make it easy and simple to learn. All steps of divination are presented as visualized as possible. As a I Ching beginner or a lover, you will enjoy the great fun of using the Numerology of I Ching in life, in problem-solving or decision-making.

This is a book of poems, Glenn Martin's fifth collection. The poems were written at various times of Glenn's life. They are set out in three themes - Young, Living, and Firm Ground. He is old enough for his life to have assumed some shape, be it unconventional or apparently not career-focused. However, he has written over fifteen books that are not poetry books, on themes ranging from ethics and values to family history and reflections on experience. He has been young, embedded in social and economic necessities, and occasionally imbued with certainties. One hopes to eventually stand on firm ground.

Chinese Proverbs; Illustrated-annotated too! is a collection of over 100 proverbs. Unique by virtue of its expansive illustrations (over 100), copious annotations and ties into the book of historical fiction, Stirring Li Chao: a book of historical fiction (published by Paha Sapa Press; 2016) gives it yet another dimension. Each book has thirty-three chapters. Proverbs between the two books are basically interchangeable, but the illustrations (also over 100!) usually stand on their own. Annotations generally speak to the nature of the proverb, the historical or cultural context, and at times pertain to events within Stirring Li Chao. The inspiration behind both books stems from actual events. While the United States busied itself with its own civil war, it also fought, switched loyalties, and ultimately acted to defeat the greatest Christian uprising of the 19th century-which occurred in China. The military might and opposition from western nations defeated the homespun Christian-inspired rebellion. Trade deals with the West remained in place-most importantly, the compulsory condition that China legalize opium and accept its importation by the "favored nations" of the West (Britain, the United States, France, Germany, etc.). Paha Sapa Press is in the business of "Rediscovering History." The uncovering of real events unknown to the author at the time (and publisher), provided the inspiration behind the publication of Stirring Li Chao. "One thing leads to another" is one of those anonymous proverbs of universal significance-and it rightly led to this book of proverbs too. Once these gems got to twinkling, they couldn't be ignored. The transfer was easy. Some are boundless, showing no nationality, but many are more cultural-specific. These provide insights into certain aspects of Chinese culture. Along with learning comes understanding. Within these pithy nutshells, the meat may contain a spiritual component. From the Dao to Confucius, the Buddha to Christ, while this book attempts to draw attention to real events, historical patterns, actions, consequences and karma, its aim is to give readers something more to take away than a collection of clever witticisms. Offering more than meets the eye, Chinese Proverbs: Illustrated-annotated too! seeks to stimulate thought and mirror timeless truths.
"The I Ching, or Book of Changes, is a mix of Taoist and Confucianist philosophies that has evolved over many centuries and may be the oldest book in existence. Its main philosophy is that nothing is static and everything changes over time, so our task is to adjust to the ebb and flow of changing circumstances. The I Ching can help us: make decisions; manage sensitive relationships; tap into our creative insight and intuitive power. The I Ching can be extremely complex, filled with poetry and philosophy. In I Ching, Plain & Simple, Kim Farnell has made the divination system as modern, straightforward, and user-friendly as possible--pick it up and put it to use quickly and easily, without any fuss or confusion. It is the ultimate guide to the I Ching."--
