A Time to Reconcile is a comedy with a serious tone featuring Beta, a young girl, whose choice of marriage goes contrary to that of her parents. Her suitor, Chato, hails from an enemy tribe, and her parents see her choice as a sign of bad luck. The conflicts that ensue uncover a brilliant and tactful portrayal of preoccupations rampant in today's Africa in general and Cameroon in particular. The involvement of the tribal chief, the Man of God, the two enemy tribes and family members, results in a twist in the plot. This twist brings about reconciliation and a successful marriage between Chato and Beta. The Man of God, another suitor to Beta, a symbol of what is popularly known as the "African Independent Churches", reveals the role parents usually play in determining the spouses of their daughters. George Njimele was born in Awing, North West Region of Cameroon in 1973. He started writing at an early age and writes mostly for children and young adults. He took up writing full-time and started the Peacock Writers Series in Cameroon. He won the National Prize for poetry in 1995 organized by the National Book Development Council. Some of his works such as Madmen and Traitors (2015), The Queen of Power (1998), Undeserved Suffering (2008), The Slave Boys (2008) and Poverty is Crazy (2012) are prescribed in the Cameroon school curriculum (literature awareness) for beginners in secondary school. His other works include: King Shaba (2006), House of Peace (2007), Land of Sweet Meat (2017), and Reap What You Sow (2020).

(Bilingual English-Dutch edition) Fatima is a young woman whose life seems beset by one disaster after another. Setting forth on a journey from her home in the West, she is shipwrecked and cast ashore alone near Alexandria, Egypt. Adopted by a local family of weavers, and beginning to prosper in her new life, she is captured and forced to work making masts for ships. While undertaking a journey to sell the masts, she finds herself shipwrecked once again - this time off the coast of China, where she finally realizes that what seemed to be disasters were really essential steps toward her eventual fulfillment. Full of wisdom and depth, and ideal as a bedtime story, Fatima's tale helps children understand the need for perseverance to reach their goals. This traditional teaching story is well known in Greek folklore, but the present version is attributed to Sheikh Mohamed Jamaludin of Adrianople (modern-day Edirne in Turkey), who died in 1750. Fatima the Spinner and the Tent is filled with wonderful illustrations by Natasha Delmar, who was taught to paint by her father, the celebrated classic Chinese painter Ng Yi-Ching. Delmar captures Fatima's adventures with a wealth of detail and color and, using Middle Eastern and Chinese design, transports readers to the exotic lands of Fatima's travels in a way delightful to both young and old.(Tweetalige Engels-Nederlands editie) Het leven van Fatima lijkt geteisterd door de ene ramp na de andere.

There's history as it's told, and then there's history as it actually happened. You may think you know the stories behind the world's most well-known, groundbreaking achievements, but To Her Credit is here to make you reevaluate our collective story as it has been written. This book celebrates the stories of women, from ancient times until the 1990s, whose contributions have been overwritten and, far too often, accredited to men.
