The legend of Father Christmas-Santa Claus-has its roots in history. Nicholas was a pastor just 300 years after Jesus walked the earth. Tales of his generosity, a response to the gifts all receive through Jesus, were widespread. His kindness and care are modeled everytime someone gives a gift out of love.

The next instalment in this collection of ground-breaking insights into the minor prophets. God's Daring Dozen is the first children's picture book series ever published on the minor prophets. The twelve books between Daniel and Matthew are unfamiliar to many believers, so this series accurately introduces these inspired writings with vivid images and simple words that engage children and adults alike. Each volume both retells the prophet's message to his original audience and relates its rich truths to Jesus and God's people today. This second boxed set contains: Jonah's Journeys, which teaches compassion and encourages obedience. Malachi's Final Message, which teaches respect for and hope in God. Nahum and the Ninevites, which teaches the power and deliverance of God. Joel and the Locusts, which teaches repentance and promises renewal. The first set includes Haggai, Habakkuk, Zephaniah and Obadiah, and the final set will include Hosea, Amos, Micah, and Zechariah. God's Daring Dozen delivers enduring messages that are very much relevant today. These biblically faithful, theologically rich, gospel-centered books teach truth, promote virtue, and inspire faith in God and in His Son. The minor prophets offer major lessons for all ages, and their timeless truths are now shared in story book form for the very first time!

Have you ever wondered whether God is with you or around you in your everyday life? God loves all of us, wanting nothing but love, happiness, and joy in our hearts as we go throughout our days. To accomplish that, He touches our lives in very small ways every day. Sometimes God's presence in our lives is no bigger than a fingerprint--a fingerprint that we can miss if our eyes aren't open and looking for them. Do you have your eyes open to see God's fingerprints in your life?

Everyone should want to help their country, but many think they must rely on the president, vice president, mayor, or governor to take care of it. Many think they have to be rich or famous to do a good deed for their fellow citizens or their country. However, we all are important for our country in a special way. All it takes is sharing our knowledge with everyone and working with others to help put that knowledge into action. We can start with a small group that wants to work together with us. It is like assembling a puzzle in the right way. Each of our countries is a part of the world puzzle and if one of them is not doing what is right, it will mess up the whole world. So for one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, for him it is sin. (James 4:17 NASB) We all know nothing is impossible and no load is too heavy as long as we are working together. Every person needs to start today and do their part. My fellow human beings, let us do whatever we can to make the world a heavenly place to live. It does not matter where you are from, your color, or your religion We are brothers and sisters who need to work together to make the world a better place to live. Our next generation should never go through the same things we have gone through. We All Need to Do Our Part Hubert Severe is a Haitian and has been in the United States of America for twenty years. He worked at hotel laundry facilities in Florida for over 15 years. He is now working in New York as a delivery service. Hubert loves watching cartoons and doing housework like cooking and cleaning. Hubert also loves to help and share with everyone. He is a family guy and loves to do things and spend time with his family.

This book is a fun, playful, yet teachable make-a-memory kind of book--whether Mom decides to read the little ones a bedtime story, Dad calls together a house meeting, or even if you would like to teach from it at a Sunday school class. However you see fit, it is simply a book in a poetic format, almost scripture line-for-scripture line, that speaks on two recorded healings from our Lord, Jesus Christ. It gives hope, not only for those who were around, but also to the readers alike.

Maximilian Kolbe's decision to take the place of a condemned man in the Auschwitz concentration camp is one of the greatest stories of heroism to emerge from the Holocaust. This book brings to life for a younger audience the incredible story of a Polish weaver's son who grew up to be a priest, a missionary, and a martyr.Kolbe lived amid the political unrest, the social change, and the spiritual battles that shaped the modern world. In the thick of it all, he had one goal--to share the love of God with as many people as possible. And he was a great innovator, spreading the Gospel through multimedia--a work that took him all the way to Nagasaki, Japan. With his deep love for Our Lady, Kolbe also founded a Marian movement that has spread throughout the world, the Militia Immaculatae, also known as the Knights of the Immaculata. His imitation of Mary's tremendous trust in God enabled him to bring hope everywhere he went, including a prison camp.

Articles of religion or confessions of faith are used to inform others of what a person, a church or society believe with respect to religious beliefs. Some churches restrict membership to those who will subscribe to their articles of religion. One of the problems that this brings is that there comes a time when a new believer cannot, in conscience, subscribe to a tenet of belief that they do not understand. It may be the article is badly worded or poorly written, or may in fact be in error. In which case, a new believer could not in conscience subscribe to something they do not understand. This did not happen in the early days of the Christian church, as there was Apostolic authority to settle matters of religious differences. Those whom the Lord added to the church were such as should be saved, and they did not have to subscribed to a written confession of faith like those we are about to look at in a moment. Even the Apostles were growing in knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, just as we do today. Peter is an example of an Apostle was in error whom Paul had to withstand to the face, over matters of doctrine and practice.1 Galatians 2.7.

"Once freed from slavery on an Alabama plantation, Maria Fearing went to Africa to show children Jesus' compassion and protect them from being sold into slavery. She even helped translate the Bible so that the children could read it in their own language. Her patience and grit in overcoming incredible obstacles to heed God's call make her a great role modeel for young children"--
