The long anticipated war has at last come to the lands of 12th century Spain and Al Andalus. The all powerful Kalif Yusuf of Morocco, having entered into an unholy alliance with the dread pirates of Sa Dragonera, has launched a three-pronged attack on the remaining free lands of the Iberian Peninsula. But not everything is going the way that Lilit had planned, for a small group of widely diverse and separated men and women have become aware of Lilit's true nature and diabolical schemes, and have formed unlikely alliances to oppose her. As she begins to suffer casualties among her own followers, even her own children, Lilit becomes ever more unpredictable, and truly begins to live up her title, the Mistress of Chaos.
