Brothers Coru & Payton Wisla jump through a time bore 300 years back in history to stop time bandit Moses Zhang and protect inventor Charles Wood & his daughter Wren.
2036: Eager for adventure, young Payton tumbles from the time bore into Vancouver's skid row, alone and scared. Time travel isn't as exciting as he'd imagined-and where is Coru? So begins Payton's hardscrabble fight to survive.
2046: Coru has spent a harrowing year in a greatly changed past world, protecting-and loving-Wren Wood. The evidence is clear-this aberration of the earth's history is Zhang's doing, who Coru suspects is passing in this century as Professor Red & must be stopped.
Wren and Coru reveal Coru's time travel secret to a few trusted Outlanders, and what it means to their very existence. Together, they form a bold plan, a small, fast moving team, and set out to slip inside Old Vancouver, now New Pacifica, under the cover of darkness. Their goal? Stop Zhang and his POE army before they reach Freeland, and rescue Payton-if he can be found...
