For the past four years, Dalton Fontaine Marconi has been living incognito as Dalton Thompson. After his grandfather's murder, Dalton's self-preservation led him to Dominion, New York. Restraint was plagued with riots, leading the rest of Dalton's family to Dominion, and together they set out to protect the Masters of Restraint. But as Restraint crumbles down to its foundation, Dalton's life does as well. While trying to hide his true nature, Dalton pushes the members of Restraint, oddly finds Pretty Boy Whittenhower taking a shine to him, joins Generation Next, and tries to locate the mole leaking the information published in the Mistress & Master of Restraint books. Walking down a lonely path of alienation, Dalton discovers those he's trying to protect are actually protecting him from the very monster who set it all into motion.
