Bag om Death on the Plains
An outlaw gang. A Teen Lawman. An abducted young woman. Mysterious strangers. What if you were traveling west, and discovered that the only passenger in the stagecoach with you was the prettiest young lady you ever saw? And what if when the stage stopped to change horses, you went into the café for lunch and met a stranger wearing a six-gun who claimed to be a preacher, and suddenly five outlaws burst in demanding fresh horses? On their way out of the café, the outlaw leader decided to take the young lady along with them. What would you do? As a U.S. Marshal, Zeke Halstead had no choice but to go after the outlaw gang. Accompanied by a mysterious stranger with a case of amnesia that they had decided to call "Lucky", Zeke followed the gang through the tall prairie grass of 1871 Kansas. Per the advice of his late grandfather, Zeke made it a practice not to reveal who he was unless he had a good reason to. Things took an unexpected turn when Lucky got his memory back in the middle of the night. Zeke awoke alone, put aside his curiosity about Lucky, and kept after the outlaw gang. A few things worked against Zeke. (1) Lucky wasn't the harmless stranger that Zeke thought he was, (2) Zeke had only been a U.S. Marshal for three weeks, and (3) he was badly outnumbered in his pursuit of the outlaw gang. Oh, and one other thing: Zeke was only 18 years old. Unlike most Christian Westerns, this is not a romance story. This is an adventure story about a young lawman, a mysterious preacher, a bounty hunter, a young woman claiming to be a nurse, an outlaw gang, bank robbery, and murder. And, oh yes, there is a little romance in the story, too. Read Death on the Plains and join U.S. Marshal Zeke Halstead in his pursuit of the outlaw gang.
