Bag om Dediu Newsletter Vol. 3, N. 7 (31), 6 June 2019
May 2019 started with some hopeful strategic news, and many other good medical news, as well as other news: Point-of-Care diagnostics are more common place now; there are many intense research projects in robotic-assisted coronary procedures, 3D-sensing industrial robotics, and deep-learning-enabled dynamic robotics; Blue Origin (and Amazon) founder Jeff Bezos has unveiled the company's "Blue Moon" lunar lander, which will be able to deliver payloads to the lunar surface, deploy up to four smaller rovers, and shoot out satellites that orbit the moon; researchers have developed a moldable bone substitute called Novogro Putty that can be implanted into the site of a bone fracture, and degrades as the bone naturally heals; hummingbird-like unmanned flying drones were developed at Purdue, to advance micro technology. In this 7h newsletter of the third volume, the 31st in total, we included the most relevant news, in a balanced approach, usually directly from the source, to help the general public better understand the realities around us. We included also several nice photos - I thank my wife for her photo assistance. Being well and correctly informed is a sine qua non requirement for everybody, in order to make the right decisions for the future.
