Bag om Deep Roots
Underground and unseen, roots of plants and trees absorb water and nourishment. Families of origin-parents and ancestors-are often referred to as our roots. They are a strong factor in the type of fruit we grow-good or bad.It was an incredible blessing for Louise Looney to be born to parents who were rooted in good soil. They offered an environment that helped her withstand strong winds of adversity that kept her from toppling and falling. The stories in this book are about men and women who were attacked with hurricane-force winds and huge waves of trauma. They struggled with poverty, sickness, infidelity, drugs, kidnapping, rape, loss of loved ones, and a variety of other horrific blows. But God's grace and mercy watered good seeds in their hearts until they sprouted and grew deep roots in good soil. They held steady in the worst of times until once again they walked in the best of times. Discover how they chose to be victors rather than victims as their roots grew deep.
