Maggie is sixteen years old, a pretty girl with hazel eyes and long blond hair. As with most modern teen age girls, a boyfriend and school activities take up most of her time. This is true until the day she steps through a hidden door in the family's new home. On the other side of the doorway she finds Harriet Tubman waiting for her. She chastises Maggie for putting the other slaves at risk by arriving late at the safe house. This is Maggie's story after a time warp sends her back to the 1850s.
