Desde su nido en la encina el ruiseñor lo oyó
from her nest in the holm-oak tree the nightingale heard him
y miró a través de las hojas, y se preguntó.
and she looked out through the leaves, and wondered

"¡No hay rosa roja en todo mi jardín!", gritó.
'No red rose in all my garden!' he cried
y sus hermosos ojos llenos de lágrimas
and his beautiful eyes filled with tears
