Bag om Evils That Happen When a Christian Fails to Write a Review of Books Read
Please permit me to tell you a real story. It actually happened to me.Unfortunately, I am always short of time. No matter how hard I regiment my life, there is always more than enough to do. So I have learnt to prioritize a few. Therefore, reading every social media post for me is forbidden. It is an expensive and addictive luxury. Hence I choose what I read or listen to.So, there was this WhatsApp post. It was an audio message. There was no way I could guess what it was all about. Unfortunately, most audio messages have no title and very few come with footnotes! Therefore, I skipped the audio message! However, as I moved further down the congested line of posts, I saw a two- line, five-star review of the audio message I had skipped! The person that reviewed the message gave an approval rating. I became interested! My curiosity was further fanned and fueled by the fact that the reviewer is a known no nonsense person.I went back and played the tape under mention. It took less than five minutes!Thank God I did, for it changed my life and ministry positively forever!I was so blown away! I began to weigh the monumental cost of my flawed decisions in the absence of the information skimmed from the audio tape! How could I have known that such trifle making a huge mess of my life for so long, a life and ministry threatening Goliath, needed only a small David to bring it down? More importantly, I also took a close look at what made me go back and listen. It was a simple two-line review by a person who had listened to a tape before me. He found a light and put it not under but atop a table so that hasty people like me could see a beacon of hope.I decided to further beam a searchlight on the issues of reviews more so by Christians. You will be surprised at some insights I got!I decided to share them with you.In your hand is the result of my meditation. I took time to apply what just happened to the scriptures. To me the Word of God is infallible and a guide to every feet.I have kept the volume slim so that you can go through it in thirty minutes! This book answers a simple question: what sin or sins are committed when a Christian fails to drop a review of what he or she reads!
