They all are good human beings, but in the race to excel in the appraisals, in the race to exceed expectation and be the number 1 makes them behave differently. As if we are talking about two different layers of a same human being. The book expresses emotions like ego, jealousy, insecurities both superior and inferior, infatuation, love and selfish motives.
