Bag om Fire and Rain
Rwanda and Burundi are two nations carved out of one. During the Genocide of 1994 one million people were slaughtered in 100 days. That horror created a rift that has been almost impossible to bind up again. It has created two opposing dynamics. One is a desperate need for God to pour out His Spirit again and save them from the nightmare. Throughout Rwanda and Burundi are people who are starving for God, crying out for a revival to bring back the saving Presence of the Holy Spirit, and praying for God to save them. The opposing dynamic is the cold wall of unforgiveness that blocks the mercies of God. The awfulness of the butchery is too horrific for us in the West to grasp, but for those who have suffered, it is all too raw. Hardly anyone on either side of the conflict has not been affected. It is into this theatre that Dalen Garris has brought a message of revival. As he traveled across both Rwanda and Burundi, he found the same desperate hunger and the same wall of unforgiveness. This book chronicles what he found and how the Lord worked through him to bring healing to this troubled land.
