Chapters within these sections cover a wide range of topics such as: Jenny Lind, Origin of Thor's Hammer, American Scandinavian Poets, The Runes, Similarity of English and Scandinavian Words, and Old Scandinavian Superstitions. For many years the author was Editor of the Scandinavian Fraternity Review, the official organ of the Scandinavian Fraternity of America, and devoted much of his spare time to the study of Scandinavian literature and biography. The book was originally published in 1919.
