We all have a frame. Our frame is made up of thoughts, responses, language, and actions that define for us who we are. Like osmosis, our frame begins at birth through what we hear, what we believe, what we say, and what we do. If a child does not know whose they are, the world around them will define their frame. The frame of the world is full of selfish anti-Christ ideologies originating from Satan himself. Addressing some of the most relevant culture-shifting topics of today's generation, like homosexuality, transgender, abortion, and selfish and worldly thinking, we will uproot and dismantle the frame of the world that is trying to define a generation. Your family will find the Father's heart towards them, responding to His love and truth, their language will shift, and they will find their purpose in doing what the Father does. Many parents might be asking why such subjects as homosexuality, transgender, and abortion in a family devotional? The truth is, these things are not cultural issues, or moral issues, but spiritual issues. Satan has waged an all-out war on the mind and soul of a generation, to steal, kill, and destroy their identity and abort the will and purposes of the Father in their lives. But not only in their lives, but in the lives of families and generations to come. These worldly ideologies go against the very fabric of the Father's creation of family and is a strategic plan of Satan to destroy God's DNA multiplying on earth itself. We must have the answer for the battle Satan is waging for God's seed. If this generation does not hear and receive truth from us, they will hear and receive lies from the world, and we, the parents, will be held accountability for what we did not impart. Let your voice be the one that leads your family into truth and identity in the Father.

Many times in scripture God uses things in the natural to describe things in the spiritual. God sees everything in the "seen" world with an "unseen" perspective; not from the narrow view finder of this world, but from lenses so vast, so deep, and so wide that our minds can hardly comprehend it. In order to teach us and give us understanding of a world we cannot see, the kingdom of heaven, God in His word often times uses metaphors and natural illustrations to give us a picture, or reflection, of what His kingdom is truly all about; He uses things in the "seen" world as a mirror that reflects things about the "unseen" world. One of those such times in scripture is found in 1 Peter 2:4 as God calls us to become as living stones, "Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ." Through a detailed word study, both in the Old and New Testament, of how God chooses to use stones in the "seen" world, a picture begins to form that reveals who we are in the "unseen" world, God's kingdom. With all of my heart I feel we have regurgitated the word too much to children without developing in them a love and passion for the word of God, coupled with the tools on how to meditate on it, seek out hidden mysteries in, and apply it to their own lives. In week 12 they will be given the tools to begin to seek out the hidden mysteries in the word for themselves, and then week 13 will be an activation week encourage them to prepare a presentation on a mystery that they found in the word themselves.

In a world of church culture that has so many broken families, our churches have become broken; broken families produce broken churches. This state of the church has not gone unnoticed in the last five or so years and many pastors and leaders have tried to come up with solutions to pick back up the pieces of the church and put her back together again. But in some regards we have tried to do it backwards. We have addressed the church corporately, trying to heal and restore ourselves from the outside rather than addressing the root of the issues lying within the people, the families that are the church. In the recent years family ministry has become a "buzz" word within the children's ministry community in response to the understanding that the family must be addressed in the church. However, although there is nothing wrong with family fun nights, bowling parties, and movie nights, this is not what our family ministry is about. Although fun in its own right, presence-driven family ministry addresses the spiritual aspects of the family according to the blueprint and heart of God set be-fore us in His word.
