This book introduces intellectual control systems and electromechanics of heterogeneous robots. The book uncovers fundamental principles of robot control and recent developments in software and hardware of robots. The book presents solutions and discusses problems of single robotic devices as well as heterogeneous robotic teams while performing technological tasks that require informational, physical or energetic interaction with human users, environment and other robots. The book considers model¿algorithmic and software¿hardware control of ground, water and underwater robots, unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as their embedded and attached sub-systems, including manipulators, end-effectors, sensors, actuators, etc. The book will be useful for researchers of interdisciplinary issues related to robotics, electromechanics and artificial intelligence. This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Robotics, ICR 2023, held in Baku, Azerbaijan, during October 25¿29, 2023.The 33 full papers included in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 56 submissions. They were organized in topical sections as follows: focused the foundations and means of collaborative behavior of one or more robots physically interacting with hu-mans in operational environments configured with embedded sensor networks and cloud services under uncertainty and environmental variability.

This book features selected papers presented at the 16th International Conference on Electromechanics and Robotics 'Zavalishin's Readings' - ER(ZR) 2021, held in St. Petersburg, Russia, on April 14-17, 2021. The contributions, written by professionals, researchers and students, cover topics in the field of automatic control systems, electromechanics, electric power engineering and electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, automation and vibration technologies. The Zavalishin's Readings conference was established as a tribute to the memory of Dmitry Aleksandrovich Zavalishin (1900-1968) - a Russian scientist, corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences, and founder of the school of valve energy converters based on electric machines and valve converters energy. The first conference was organized by the Institute of Innovative Technologies in Electromechanics and Robotics at the Saint Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation in 2006. The 2021 conference was held with XV International Conference "e;Vibration-2021. Vibration technologies, mechatronics and controlled machines"e; and VI International Conference "e;Electric drive, electrical technology and electrical equipment of enterprises"e;, and was organized by St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation (SUAI), St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SPC RAS), Southwest State University (SWSU) and Ufa State Oil Technical University (USPTU).
