Back in 1985, while studying under the tutelage of the renowned Haitian linguist Dr. Yves Déjean at the Bank Street College of Education in New York, I authored a concise grammar guide. I later shared complimentary copies of the book with all my Kreyòl pupils.Due to the high demand from my former and current students, I am making the Creole alphabet available to anyone who wishes to learn it.

This is Epic Poetry! In this classic collection of vibrant epic poetries with short and long prose, Bob Lapierre offers you (the reader) passages of paradoxical occurrences in societies. You will uncover the contradictory, the illogical, and the hypocritical, enigmatic and puzzling world of unspeakable taboos. For example, Ayiti is a country where almost everyone enjoys the privilege of owning a restavèk. Laugh not, even a paid domestic (maid) has her own restavèk.Bob questions, will child abuse ever end in his country of birth? Will there ever be equality among human beings on our planet? Is Jean Ziegler correct for shouting, Every 5 seconds a less than 10 year old child dies of hunger." He denunciated, "''A child who died by hunger is a murdered child! He even pointed out the responsible, and that is only Food for thought!

My life unfolds in Ayti, marked by European invasions, and explores my deep connection to Africa. Amidst post-European challenges, Africa's spiritual values resonate within me. The narrative delves into my enduring link with ancestors, capturing their historical struggles, spiritual awakenings, and cultural moments, often misunderstood as 'superstition' and 'mystical.' I navigate shared ignorance and failures, acknowledging my privilege. The story also highlights encounters with a magical godmother, weaving enchantment into my journey. This mystical presence adds a layer to the broader themes of ancestral heritage, cultural nuances, and dual belonging. As I explore my roots, the narrative unveils shared history, embracing both suffering and profound joy dismissed by some as superstitions. In this arras, I am one of the privileged few, intricately connected to Ayti and the spiritual essence of Africa."

Istwa Riko, alyas 'Rambo', se istwa politik rapatriman peyi Etazini ansanm avèk peyi Kanada, lè yo t ap voye lage yon bann ti delenkan anndan ti peyi nan Karayib la. Mete w alèz; chita kou Blèz; kage kò w; dodinen dodin ou; kouche sou do; lonje pye w; leve de pye w yo anlè, epi koumanse li.

Beyond many other great Ayitian traditions, telling nightly fairytales is among the most important ones. It is an ancestral heritage from Guinea (Heaven), from the depth of mother Africa. Ayiti, in the heart (middle) of the American continent, is Africa's first daughter. Hence, "Like mother like daughter," beyond Vodoun, Kreyòl, and land cultivation, telling stories is one of the most important parts of the Ayitian culture. I will use this occasion to pay tribute to all those who understood the need to reclaim what is most precious for our country. I am speaking of icons such as Christian Beaulieu, the first Ayitian, who, in 1939, saw the need for the Ayitian language (Kreyòl) to serve its speakers. Jacques Roumain, who in 1940, saved the Vodoun tradition from the witch hunt of the Catholic Church backed by the paranoiac government of Eli Lescot during the era labeled "The Rejete" (Rejection). I pay my greatest reverence to Alfred Métraux (a French intellectual) who was outraged by this exhibition of ignorance and urged Roumain to act. If it were not for Métraux, who knows what would have happened to the Ayitian people's most popular belief today? To Georges Sylvain, who, in 1901, wrote the first Ayitian folktale in the popular language, "Cric! Crac!1" I give honor to all those who followed the pioneer's positive steps in preserving our culture.

Se yon gran lonè, lè mwen te tande, edikatè, ann Ayiti, sèvi avèk Malfini-Byenfini nan klas filozofi pou mennen deba akademik avèk elèv yo. Se te entansyon an sa. Se ankò yon pi gran lonè lè mwen tande kèk akademisyen klase Malfini-Byenfini nan menm ran avèk de premye klasik Kreyòl Ayisyen yo: Choukoun pa Charles Alexis Oswald Durand (1840-1906), epi "Tezen" pa Frank Fouchè (1950). Malfini-Byenfini senpman ap kontante li okipe yon plas enpòtan nan literati kreyòl Ayisyen an.

Li anba a, osinon fè yon moun li l pou ou: On November 18th, 1803, François Capois (a.k.a Capois Lamort) was not a super-hero of fiction, for his fiercest enemy, General Rochambeau (one of the most infamous, most notoriously sadistic French war criminals in the history of African Slavery in the American continent), had to stop the fighting to present him with his own sword in recognition of his historically unrivaled prowess. - Emperor Jacques 1er (1804-1806), Jean-Jacques Dessalines the Great, was one other hero who may remain unparalleled in the history of our planet as a war General. That is who you are, offspring of real Heroes. Be proud! - Buy this book, save it, share it, cherish the content, and enjoy knowing the greatest part of your history as a human being.

Many good plays have been written by residents of Ayiti, but because of language barrier they remain unfamiliar to the world. Ebony: The Black Rose . . . was written in a much-diffused tongue, with the hope that it would prompt new awareness about theatre in my place of birth, and about the manipulation of the theatre for either domination or liberation. This piece is wholly dedicated to the memory of an unknown Ayitian philosopher, Antwàn Lan Gomye. It is also in dedication to a native of Jeremy (Antwàn's birth place), the former Mrinister of Communication, during the tenure of her Excellence, Ertha Pascal Trouillot, in Ayiti, Mr. Alfred Mentor, who helped me get the story straight. To Ayiti and all Ayitians.

Bob Lapierre ekri anpil liv. Se, an reyalite, yon koleksyon ti ensidan kout nan vi prive yon aktè. Kidonk, yon liv tankou Anekdòt defye entelijans yon etidyan ki ap vanse nan mond entelektyèl la nan pwòp lang li ak kilti li. Anekdòt envite elèv yo fè rechèch, paske li ofri yo de chwa, swa aksepte eksperyans yo pou verite oswa pran yo pou fiksyon.

Apre mwen te fin byen eksplike nou rezon ki lakòz mwen prese ranmase trezò literè nou yo tankou Choukoun, Antwàn Lan Gomye, Tezen, elatriye, mwen ta renmen rakonte nou yon lòt ti istwa mwen te viv lè m te jenn tibway ap jwe nan raje, nan chan kann, bannann, mayi ak pitimi, nan ravin, sou lakolin, anba pye mòn, sou tèt mòn, sou lateras, sou pye bwa, anba pye bwa, nan gwòt, bò larivyè, sou laplaj, avèk "ti" zanmi m yo, myèl, gèp, cheni, zandolit, mabouya, ti yaya (grenouy), kribich, chadron, lasigal, papiyon, pyelou, poudbwa, vètè, foumi, krikèt, elatriye. Nan nivo rezonnman sivilize sa yo, Ayisyen an fè bak. Mete w alèz; chita kou Blèz; kage kò w; dodinen dodin ou; kouche sou do; lonje pye w; mete yo anlè, koumanse li.

Dokte André Lapierre Pardo (a.k.a. Bob Lapierre) pa t ap janm kite yon trezo konsa ki soti nan koleksyon klasik teyat Ayisyen disparet.

Dr. Andre Lapierre Pardo, a.k.a. Bob Lapierre, is a well known thespian and author. Among his many publications, TEZEN is his newly proposed classic bedtime story, parroting the Cinderella tradition of which children worldwide once found solace.Scores of readers were yet unfamiliar with Frank Fouche's Tezen, a girl and her fish friend, but knew plenty about the well publicized story of Cinderella, a girl and her glass slipper. Whereas, now they are being told that both stories came from a single source, Yeh Shen, the famous Chinese story. Read on, in comfort, and discover that other lost part of the Chinese's beautiful fable, which Fouche wisely called Tezen. Bob Lapierre is an author, a former columnist and coeditor of Ayiti Ekran and the Haitian Universiterian Association, academic journal, New York;1984. He is a contributor to iMPACT GLOBAL, the new millennium magazine by Dr. Pierreline Mwanza. He founded and directed, The Bob Lapierre Theatre Company Inc.

Antouka, jodi a, nou rive. Kidonk, jodi a Kreyòl 35èm lang nan Nasyonzini. Sepandan, n ap di tout pyonye yo mèsi, an patikilye Christian Beaulieu avèk Doktè Yves Déjean. The playwright and director, Bob Lapierre, chose to dub this story "Reclaiming Choukoun" rather than Choukoun because he has taken back what belongs to the Ayitian culture, Choukoun. " Choucoune, " by bard Charles Alexis Oswald Durand, is priceless for the Ayitian civilization, for this once ode, turned lyrical, is indeed the symbol of a transitional period in the peoples' literature. Choukoun assumes the first piece of evidence ever recorded in Ayiti's Kreyòl literature by the native speakers. For the past 500 or more years, Ayiti has been part of the World's History. As a member of the society of nations, Ayitians have made numerous worthy but rarely publicized contributions. However, we remain subjects of discrimination by North Americans' policies, the US - though our forebears fought to help them become free from British tyranny. In the name of our forefathers, we are resilient by nature. It is a pending controversy that is not hard to clean up. Although Choukoun is celebrated throughout the world: Caribbean islands, South America, a portion of North America (the US and Canada), and Europe, Choukoun's reputation has been overshadowed throughout the English-speaking countries, for their citizens have been spoiled with Mr. Harry Belafonte's "Yellow Bird," in other words, "Choukoun!" In Reclaiming Choukoun, Bob Lapierre has reclaimed an entire memoir, the Ayitian classic epic, Choukoun!

Li pa t janm yon sekrè pou pèsonn, mete lang tout Ayisyen pale a, Kreyòl, lang nasyon an, chita bò tab la.
