Brothers, One just turned thirteen and the other is eighteen, take canoe lessons from the Olympic Whitewater team in North Carolina. The challenges they face from both the water and each other are sometimes funny, sometimes frightening, but they are eventually resolved.

Jennifer is a young divorce' who returns to her childhood home in the Smokey mountains and is unexpectedly asked to take a class of boys through canoe lessons. She has many adventures, meets old friends, becomes enamored and grows up as she works through her new found position in life.
