Casemiro, a hard-up wizard with diminishing magical power, travels to the location of his greatest accomplishment, the village of Lillenhold. All in a last-ditch effort to recapture his glory, power, and a little coin. Then, Casemiro gets thrown into a murder investigation, an unexpected and perhaps unwanted (he just can't decide) romance, a heroic quest, and the involvement of (wait for it)... medieval professional wrestlers. All this from responding to a harmless job posting. Casemiro rediscovers himself amidst new and complex relationships involving Forrest, a troll-man hybrid connected to the wizard's past, and Laural, the Princess of Gaeleos. All while Casemiro deals with the guilt and grief over the death of his wife, and the fact his past accolades are not as glorious as the tales make them out to be. Holding onto these unspoken truths creates a crisis of uncertainty that unravels Casemiro's life at the most inopportune time and forces him to face a choice to either save his new friends or sacrificing his greatest desire.
