The Visions Of The Sleeping Bard is a collection of Welsh poetry written by Ellis Wynne. The book is a classic example of Welsh literature and is considered one of the most important works of Welsh poetry. The poems are written in the bardic tradition of Wales and are filled with imagery, symbolism, and mythology. The book is divided into three parts, each containing a series of poems that explore different themes such as love, nature, and spirituality. The poems are written in Welsh but are accompanied by English translations, making them accessible to a wider audience. The Visions Of The Sleeping Bard is a must-read for anyone interested in Welsh literature and culture. Then away we went over hills and through forests, across seas and valleys, over castles and towers, rivers and rocks, and where should we alight but at one of the gates of the daughters of Belial, at the rear of the City of Destruction, where I noticed that the three gateways of Destruction contracted into one at the back, and opened upon the same place--a murky, vaporous, pestilent place, full of noisome mists, and terrible lowering clouds. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.

Ellis Wynne, 1671-1734, was a rector, poet, translator and royalist, but he's primarily known as the author of Gweledigaethau y Bardd Cwsg which was first published in London in 1703.The Sleeping Bard is led through three visions following the path of sinners on their way to hell. Filled with imagination, originality and satire, Wynne's visions are written in the natural and idiomatic language of Meirionnydd at the turn of the 18th century. This volume contains three books, as well as Gweledigaethau y Bardd Cwsg edited by D. Silvan Evans there are two English translations, The Visions of the Sleeping Bard by Gwyneddon Davies and The Sleeping Bard by George Borrow.

Roedd Ellis Wynne, 1671-1734, yn reithor, yn fardd, yn gyfieithydd ac yn frenhinwr ond mae'n fwy adnabyddus fel awdur Gweledigaethau y Bardd Cwsg a gyhoeddwyd gyntaf ym 1703. Caiff y Bardd Cwsg ei arwain drwy dair weledigaeth lle mae'n dilyn taith pechaduriaid ar eu ffordd i uffern. Mae yma ddychymyg gwreiddiol a dychan brathog ac mae'r cwbl wedi ei ysgrifennu mewn iaith sy'n gwbl naturiol ac yn adlewyrchu iaith lafar Meirionnydd ar droad y 18fed ganrif. Mae'r gyfrol hon yn cynnwys tri llyfr, yn ogystal â Gweledigaethau y Bardd Cwsg a olygwyd gan D. Silvan Evans mae dau gyfieithiad Saesneg, The Visions of the Sleeping Bard gan Gwyneddon Davies a The Sleeping Bard gan George Borrow.
