Poetry, literature, music and films are always trying to touch sensitive strings when it comes to love and infatuation. Who hasn't seen the film Titanic or the book Wuthering Heights and who isn't familiar with Olga and Erik from Turkish delight, who are head over heels in love? But when we try to fathom what love and infatuation are at their core, we often fall silent. The ancient, wise Greeks described infatuation as a temporary form of madness, and when you awoke from this semi-comatose state, you saw things much more clearly again. Philosophers hardly dared to approach this phenomenon. Nevertheless, Frank decided to give it a try, partly on the basis of historical lovers. The happy couple Francesco and Bianca de Medici served as a model. What makes a healthy and successful love relationship in 2019, what are the pitfalls and does the swan relationship still have a future for life?
In Jenevercity, Mayor Pearl-chain is in dire straits, accused of cronyism, abuse of power and creating a culture of fear. The democratically elected heavyweights of the city council fly in the integrity agency You Call and We Deliver to deal with her "independently and thoroughly". The heads of this bureau, Long Jake, Ant and Colt, will piggyback her. Ex-journalist Tick is working overtime in his anonymous and vicious internet forum, constantly spewing thousands of smears, slanders and Indian stories into the ether through his tightly managed whispering campaign. The vox populi is foaming at the mouth demanding redress and Sting, Pear-chain's vindictive employee, is scheming like mad. All the building blocks are in place for a crazy tragicomedy with plenty of intrigue, black humour and a surprising denouement. This little book is inspired by Dante's Inferno, the 5th gorge of the Maleboge.
The history of Sparta is legendary. The author starts his journey in 1888 BC in a small settlement on the Peloponnese to continue via the route Sparta Rotterdam 1888 to the present-day hamlet of Sparta. The gods put you on the horse only to ruthlessly knock you off again. This book traces the early history of Sparta up to the foundation of the city-state of Sparta in roughly 1100 BC and then continues this historical journey through the many highs and lows of the city-state that inspired awe in friend and foe alike. Besides the collected works of Herodotos, Thucydides and Plutarchus, countless other sources provide input. Where gaps existed, they were filled in based on common sense. Sparta mostly unwittingly also inspired total regiems, including in the former Soviet Union. Can Sparta Rotterdam dream big and match the iron discipline and fearlessness of the old Sparta and go for stunts like Leicester in England? At the end of the book, Frank holds up a mirror of Lycurgus to our current society and comes to surprising conclusions
The geopolitcal relations between the West and Eurasia are going to change drastically the coming years. From Shanghai to Rotterdam a modern infrastructure is being developed by China in a rapid pace. China will connect 2/3 of the world's population on the biggest landmass. It is expected that China will surpass the US in an economical sense and this can lead to economic and serious militairy conflicts because the US doesn't want to play a second fiddle on the worldstage after being a hegemon for decades. Which course will the EU follow? The autor paints a sunny perspective for China, Central Asia and Russia but at the same time a doomsday-scenario for the US and other Anglo-Saxon countries.
Frank Libertas was in Kiev during the US-lead Maidan-revolte in February 2014 en this inspired him to write down his experiences and personal observations what really happened behind the scene. In this complex geopolitical forcefield the tensions were rising so high that Frank seriously feared for a total escalation between NATO and Russia after de coup d'etat in Kiev. On the 17th of July 2014 the MH17 airplane of Malaysian Airways was shot down above the Eeastern part of Ukraine and this costed 298 people their lives. Frank imediately knew that this was for sure no well planned terroristic act as it was presentedin teh MSM. To him it was obvious from the start what really happened. A few days before this disaster a cargoplane of the type Antonov was shot down in the same area at great hight. Frank was flabbergasted that the authorities of Ukraine did not shut down this airspace for passengerplanes after this incident. He compares in this bundle Kiev with the Netherlands and he reached suprising conclusions about double standards, blind propaganda. Rusofobia and blunt hypocracy of the Collective West.
