Didactics is anchored in the training for teachers and deals with questions of teaching and learning. Educational processes require didactic knowledge and skills. As a rule, teachers first deal with general didactics in the planning and implementation of lessons. Didactics issues are currently also concerned with topics such as educational and school development, quality assurance and performance comparisons. Digital didactics, didactics of age education in lifelong learning and examination didactics in the form of the increased importance of the multitude of certifications are becoming increasingly important.
The polytechnic school as a school form of secondary level II is currently facing the problem of a massive decline in the number of students. With its foundation as a "polytechnic course" in 1962 and its introduction in 1966, reflections on this special form of education are appropriate. The aim of the study is to present an introduction to the teaching and learning practice of a school form as a transitional education area into the world of work and/or further forms of education. In addition, perspectives of further education and training are of interest. As a neglected school type, perspectives for learners and teachers in connection with a teacher training are shown. For the author, aspects of the sub-areas of the polytechnic school are particularly topical, because they show current educational efforts in connection with pre-vocational education, political education and intercultural competence and support innovative aspects in the educational field of secondary level II.
Protest and activism want to shape the world with their ideas and influence political and social rules. Engagement in questions of a transformation of a form of government/ liberalization, in education/ learning and teaching, social movements in the working and professional world/ economy, women's issues/ gender - equality, media/ diversity of opinion, environment/ ecology, peacekeeping/ peace movement and migration/ interculturality are pedagogical challenges of a political education and require reflection. Due to Corona19 and worldwide insecure conditions, the topics and their broad impact have become of great importance. The study is based on civic education, a rich literature and increasing topicality.
The study as the conclusion of the "Series on University Teaching" first deals with the fundamental understanding of adult education and continuing education. The further education of teachers as a project is presented. Thus, the tertiary education sector is addressed. Denominational adult education as a continuation of religious education and further education as cultural-religious competence following an education results in a special task of an educational mission. An insight into the author's activities documents a summary of courses in tertiary and quaternary education. The conclusion goes into reflections and an outlook, thus providing a critical examination of the field. Elements form the process of professionalization and continuing education as well as its participation and connection of adult education and university didactics. Aspects on the state of research result from the reflections on the relationship between theory and practice.
Political education is increasingly interested in how Europe spread theory of colonial rule and justifying missionary and exploratory voyages from assumed conceit over centuries. Under global influences, pan-African movements and a decolonization current changed the relationship with Europe. In the 20th century, new forms of unequal power relations emerged. Regions and societies are still confronted with the political, economic and social consequences of colonial rule. Outdated patterns of thinking about the image of African history and the present still have an effect and cause Africa to play a minor role in world politics and the global economy. Sketchily, the early modern period, foundations of colonial thinking, colonial rule, transitional forms, dissolution of colonial empires, post-colonial states and African states are discussed.
An ancient cultural area, populated by about 14 million people, means in its change a challenge to deal with aspects and developments of the alpine region. In the course of history, people have profoundly changed the landscape ecologically, influenced it culturally and developed it socio-economically in order to secure their livelihood. Interdisciplinarity is the hallmark of a thematic examination of cultural geography, political education, folklore and cultural studies. Increasingly, the Alpine region is gaining importance as a recreational area for tourism.
The study deals with the efforts of post-war societies to engage in sustainable "peacebuilding". This is understood to mean overcoming previous wars, preventing new outbreaks of war, and building long-term peace structures. By presenting three case studies with the aim of understanding peacebuilding as an interaction of global and local processes and dealing with the areas of conflict in an exemplary manner, the aim is to awaken pedagogical understanding for this aspect in political education. The areas of the case studies are thematized with cause, course of war and termination of conflict. The study points to the process character in post-war societies of a transition from war to peace and presents efforts of the actors on the ground to peacemaking measures, thus a political education and peace education. Part of the outcome of such processes is that their character is open, from success to failure.

Continuing education concerns learning processes to maintain the current level of knowledge. Continuing education concerns higher qualification. The EU prefers continuing education as an educational measure. The study is divided into hints for distance learning, online learning and selected subject areas from the author's point of view, which are presented in detail.
Examinations are procedures for determining knowledge and skills, generally performance, which are determined by subject-specific tasks or questions. This requires an examination didactics. As pedagogically planned situations with specific performance, skills, knowledge, abilities and dispositions are determined as objectively as possible through forms of performance assessment and certified with a certificate, examination certificate or diploma. This is expected to provide information about future performance. This is linked to entitlements and opportunities for advancement.
The subject is made topical by the increasing controversy surrounding independently collected news and the attacks on freedom of the press and freedom of opinion. This requires well-founded statements about international events in the world society. Political education has as an educational task the questioning of political processes in connection with own judgement and opinion formation with conclusions. The educational mission includes the substantiation and presentation of the individual dimensions, in this case international politics. The problem areas rather increase, the necessity of a confrontation are an educational challenge for a neglected discipline.
Lo Stato di Israele è diventato la patria dei gruppi più diversi. Il suo sviluppo in uno Stato è una storia di successo. Con la sua fondazione nel 1948, il Paese ha integrato immigrati provenienti da oltre 120 Paesi in uno Stato democratico ebraico. Uno Stato agricolo si è trasformato in una nazione leader nel settore dell'alta tecnologia. La nazione fondatrice aveva ancora l'idea di una società socialista. Dalla fondazione dello Stato, il conflitto in Medio Oriente ha giocato un ruolo importante. La pace e la sicurezza non sono ancora state realizzate. The English Channel separates the country from the continent, and the island has always had a special role in Europe. The study is divided into history, Westminster democracy, autonomy of Wales and Scotland, the Northern Ireland conflict, the tax haven, school system, UK and Europe, UK in world politics and society in the UK.
Economy and economic learning processes in the context of civic education concern the central area of life of every person and of a society. Beyond the national sphere, economic processes concern political and societal-social frameworks in the context of educational endeavors. A close context exists to global learning, where the two elements play a role. Significant are the efforts in the school sector to establish the subject area. In non-school education, opportunities arise to offer a basic knowledge in course form or modules. As an objective, a better understanding of today's economy in the context of civic education in its complexity is aimed at. The study wants to make a contribution to this.
A sustainable development of voluntary organizations in their activities called voluntary work, honorary office or in civic engagement, is characterized by no gainful employment and refers to a voluntary and public welfare-oriented commitment.The occupational field yields learning impulses for politics, practice and adult education. Since the nineties, the development has been moving in the direction of a topic in politics and society. Areas are for example the sport, associations, organizations, youth associations and NGOs. Tasks arise in the recruitment of volunteers, accompaniment, promotion and training. Adult education has planning, organization and consulting as its field of activity.
The selection and arrangement of topics are based on personal professional socialization and represent personal focuses and interests. The terms adult education and adult pedagogy are often used synonymously. In this study, the term adult pedagogy is preferred for an educational focus; in educational management, the term adult education is preferred. Institutions and organizations have to exist in a constantly changing society in order to be able to provide continuing education. This means an increasing national and international importance of the quaternary education sector. Adult education poses special challenges to theory and practice. The relationship between teacher and learner is one between persons of age. The addressees are participants. It is primarily about education, qualifications and the acquisition of competencies.
O Estado de Israel tornou-se a pátria dos mais diversos grupos. A sua evolução para um Estado é uma história de sucesso. Com a sua fundação em 1948, o país integrou imigrantes de mais de 120 países num Estado democrático judeu. Um Estado agrário transformou-se numa nação líder em alta tecnologia. A nação fundadora ainda tinha a ideia de uma sociedade socialista. Desde a fundação do Estado, o conflito do Médio Oriente tem desempenhado um papel importante. A paz e a segurança ainda estão por cumprir. Para a educação política, a diversidade das sociedades é de particular interesse, tal como a diversidade cultural-religiosa, a independência do Estado e o sionismo internacional.
Affrontare un'area di crisi di grande significato politico, economico, culturale e religioso evidenzia la dimensione interdisciplinare dell'educazione civica. Il conflitto in Palestina è una disputa nazionale tra la popolazione araba e quella ebraica. La decisione di spartizione delle Nazioni Unite del 29 novembre 1947 mette in atto questa disputa. La democratizzazione dei sistemi politici è essenziale e la "primavera araba" ha suscitato speranze. Le lotte di potere e i conflitti sociali interni, così come la mancanza di società civile e di strutture democratiche, hanno impedito le riforme. Vecchi rapporti di potere, oppressione, guerre civili e il crollo di Stati - Siria, Iraq, Libia e Yemen - con il coinvolgimento internazionale hanno provocato terrore e ondate di rifugiati con nuovi rapporti di potere. Le conseguenze di questo sviluppo sono avvertite dalle società occidentali. Lo studio si propone di fornire un quadro delle condizioni, dei contesti e dei conflitti.
The State of Israel has become home to a wide variety of groups. Its development into a state entity is a success story. With its founding in 1948, the country integrated immigrants from over 120 countries into a Jewish-democratic state. An agrarian state developed into a leading high-tech nation. The founding nation still had the idea of a socialist society. Since the founding of the state, the Middle East conflict has played a major role. Peace and security are still unfulfilled. For political education, the diversity of societies is of particular interest, such as cultural-religious diversity, state independence and international Zionism.
Aspects and developments in the ancient cultural area of the Alps arise in agricultural policy, socio-economic conditions, changes in policy content, management and consequences, the Alpine region, food security, rural development and rural areas in the transformation of villages and small towns in the context of EU agricultural policy. Culturally increased attention is paid to findings of folklore for the Alpine region.
Teaching and learning at the university is in the context of reforms and didactic innovations. Approaches to university didactics are to be strengthened and university management in the design of teaching is to be further developed.The study is divided into a general part of higher education didactics and a part of personal teaching in theory approaches and didactics of political education and the sub-areas of pre-service education and inclusion, which complete reflections. A reflection concludes the study.University teaching is becoming increasingly important not only in the full course of study, but also in academic further and continuing education.
The examination of a crisis region of great political, economic and cultural and religious historical significance points to the interdisciplinary dimension in civic education. The conflict in Palestine is a national dispute between the Arab and Jewish populations. The UN partition decision of November 29, 1947 puts this dispute into effect. A democratization of political systems is essential, with the "Arab Spring" raising hopes. Power struggles and internal social conflicts as well as the lack of civil society and democratic structures prevented reforms. Old power relations, oppression, civil wars and a collapse of states - Syria, Iraq, Libya and Yemen - with international involvement resulted in terror and waves of refugees with new power relations. Consequences of this development are felt by Western societies. The study aims to provide insight into the conditions, backgrounds and conflicts.
Pedagogical contexts arise in counseling situations, which are based on the principle of "understanding instead of teaching". Counseling includes different situations and problem areas, it requires cooperation to offer a qualified counseling setting the "help for self-help". The basic principle is to arrange the interpersonal relationship in such a way that the personal problem is dealt with at the place where it occurs. Pedagogical action is inconceivable without counseling and help to an action orientation. A basic knowledge with counseling-theoretical and practice-oriented references, starting from personal foundations, is to be developed.
Findings of a modern child education in the study focus on the child as a subject of society, as an actor. Children need to acquire social, motor, cognitive and affective skills and abilities. They open up the environment and change it with their desires, interests and needs. Many children today can take advantage of a welfare society, but also feel the disadvantages of a modern way of life for the forms of industrialization, urbanization, economization and individualization in everyday life. There are strains already in childhood. It is about the acquisition of basic trust, the relationship to parents, the attitude to one's own body, the development of cognitive concepts and one's own thinking, a development of conscience and morals as well as to peers.
The importance of regionality in addition to internationality in education can be seen in the treatment of aspects of a regional European cultural area and aspects of a federal state in the context of civic education. Spatial contexts usually play a minor role. However, complex interrelationships must be taken into account. How society perceives regionality, the image of a learning and knowledge transfer is transported. A central space and a federal state of a democratic community require attention to federal structure in political education. In continuation of the project Tyrol, the provincial capital Innsbruck is presented.
L'importance de la régionalité à côté de l'internationalité dans l'éducation se manifeste dans le traitement des aspects d'un espace culturel européen régional et des aspects d'un Land dans le contexte de l'éducation civique. Les contextes spatiaux jouent en général un rôle mineur. Il convient toutefois de tenir compte de contextes complexes. La manière dont la société perçoit la régionalité véhicule l'image d'un apprentissage et d'une transmission de connaissances. Un espace central et un Land d'une communauté démocratique nécessitent l'attention de la structure fédérale dans l'éducation politique. Dans le prolongement du projet Tyrol, la capitale du Land, Innsbruck, est présentée.
A basic knowledge of ecology requires an interdisciplinary approach in civic education because the topic arises from a wide variety of subject areas. For the author, areas arose from the possibility of further education in addition to personal points of reference. Ecology sees itself as knowledge of the relationships of individuals and organisations to the surrounding environment. The increasing interest of a change in the climate (climate change) and the resulting consequences is of great importance for contemporary political education.
Civic Education in Adult Education was conceived in 2005 for the "European Year of Civic Education" and updated in recent years from experiences in the tertiary and quaternary education sector for intergenerational learning. The basis of the teaching and learning situation of a civic education is the state of knowledge of the connection between biographical fit and interest in civic education offers. There are increasing considerations, however interrupted by the Corona pandemic, to use a course form modular in the adult education. In general, political awareness is formed by recognizing one's own interests and experiencing social conflicts and power relations. A politically enlightened person is not an object of politics, but rather a subject intervening in political conditions.
The topic Christianity offers itself as a world religion in its diversity and history of development in the subarea "cultural-religious competence" in the subject area of political education. The study is divided into "Christianity", early Christianity education, two millennia of Christianity/ overview, cultural-religious education and democracy, and "ecumenism" in its meaning. In Europe, many socio-cultural contents cannot be understood without Christian tradition in faith experience. The topic becomes topical through different cultural origins, religious affiliations and ways of life. Thus teaching, learning and educational processes are necessary, exemplarily as political education, intercultural education, ethics and religious basic knowledge.
