Desperately trying for find her fiancé Christy turns to a man she feels is her last resort. With hesitation she agrees to work with Ken, the grandson of man an elderly man with shady connections. But at this point finding Troy is all she wants. Christy and Ken both immediately notice one another, kind of like an instant attraction, her beauty and his gorgeous looks. But once they have to start working together all that goes out the window as she feels he's arrogant and he finds her pushy and bossy. Neither want to work with the other, but unenthusiastically agree to for reasons of their own. As the leads take them across country Christy is reluctant on how things are going, but Ken assures her that this is the one way to find the answers. With them continuing with the lead, their attraction to one another comes to the forefront. Both across the line neither wanted as they end up spending the night together. The next morning they decide what a mistake that was, neither truly believing that but saying what they think the other wants to hear. With the fighting desires within them they continue on path to find Troy. Which only leads to more questions and answers they aren't answering the questions. Back at home Pop, Ken's grandfather gets an invite from some men about Christy. His gut tell him she isn't safe they insist on her moving in with him, until they can figure out who is who and what is really going on. What has Troy gotten himself into and what has he pulled her into? Leads continue and Ken is caught up in a situation which ends him up locating Troy, but this is only the start of another problem. The man holding Troy wants Christy. He believes she holds the answers to the information he's looking for. Now Ken is faced with having to work with Troy and putting Christy in a dangerous situation in order to protect her. Things take a series of twists and until Ken finally takes control of the situation. With Christy is safe, Troy isn't who he claims, the bad guy is caught and his heart is broken. Christy is torn desiring a man she's barely knows and a man she loves. One man knows the right the thing to do walk away. The other feels he's owed and she is apart of what he's owed. Needing time, she makes a decision and then realizes that it was the wrong one. Does she have a chance of winning other man back? Or has he closed that door. When she does something that again puts her in jeopardy he's the one that is there for her. But when he see her with the other, he feels as if he's been played. When Christy again goes looking for the man that her heart belongs to she finds he's left her again. Now she must decide to chase after him or allow him to move on without her.
In this one-off book, Heather Harvey has written poems about the love, life, loneliness and spirituality, which has kept her hope alive through her turbulent years. Now aged 59, she has been in a wheelchair for 11 years, with Multiple Sclerosis. She has been a vegetarian (no meat and no fish) for 9 years, as she cares about animals and the environment. She now lives in a nursing and residential home, because of her many disability's, where she has been for 3 years. She loves music, especially from the 60's and also new age music which calms her down.
